TJ (Tony) Gabriele, "Ron Jovi", lead singer of Mullett, was tragically taken from us entirely too young from complications due to Covid-19 while vacationing in Exuma, Bahamas. The family is now discovering not only the great cost to fly him back, but the incredible bureaucracy and red tape that exists to do so. Making matters much worse, because this is a Covid related death, there are many more protocols in place that must be met before he can re-enter the US. We have to believe that if Ron became sick in the US, the outcome would have been much different, but the reality is the family is determined to get him home on US soil. They are asking his countless fans for help, and all monies raised will go toward the expense to bring Ron home and to support his two biggest fans--his beautiful surviving children. As Ron always said "See ya next time...," we would love to see him one more time to say goodbye properly. Thank you for considering!

  2. New FIREWÖLFE album coming this year!

In 2020 founding member/guitarist Nick Layton and bassist Bobby Ferkovich (Pamela Moore, Metal Church, Presto Ballet) sought to put a new powerful version of FIREWÖLFE together after singer David Fefolt left the band. By recruiting Seattle based guitar shredder Michael David (TKO), virtuoso drummer Marco Bicca (Pamela Moore, The Element, A Dying Planet) and Las Vegas based vocalist Freddy Krumins (James Byrd’s Atlantis Rising), the band was finally set.
The new album, produced and mastered by Bart Gabriel (Crystal Viper, Jack Starr, Hexx) and mixed by Cederick Forsberg (Blazon Stone), is a tour de force in Melodic US Molten Metal, featuring heavy riffs, melodic choruses, a thunderous rhythm section and ripping dual guitar solos. Fans of the bands first two albums will be thrilled to find an album full of great songs, hooks and performances, and will love how new vocalist Freddy Krumins has put his own unique melodic stamp on the bands sound.

The amazing artwork by Dusan Markovic sets the mood for this powerhouse of an album, to be released on November 19th, 2021.

  3. From Trev’s FB page:

For all you LEVARA fans out there wondering what’s in store for the remaining members moving forward, I will answer that question.
It might be a “who cares” situation at this point but I know some of you are waiting for some kind of update.
I spoke with Josh and it’s all officially over.
The two remaining members decided to pack it in.
They will not be continuing as LEVARA or even together with a different project.
It’s all unfortunate but it’s life and we all have to live with decisions that we make.
We made a killer album that will sadly never be heard live.
I wish them the best with whatever they decide to do in the future.
I thank you all for your incredible support and love through all of this.
I am beyond grateful and beyond humbled.
Now it’s time for some killer Invisible Friends music!!! Lezzz goooo!!!

AYRON JONES TO RELEASE CHILD OF THE STATE MAY 21

Album Art Courtesy of Big Machine/John Varvatos Records

SEATTLE, WA (April, 9, 2021) - Rock singer-guitarist Ayron Jones announces his 12-track collection titled CHILD OF THE STATE due May 21 via Big Machine/John Varvatos Records. Pre-order now to preview select songs: https://ayron.lnk.to/childofthestatePR.

Doubling down on his uniqueness with music that harkens back to his beginnings, Jones explains the title. “Having faced the abandonment I did as a child, and how that affected me in life, is really what this album is about. It’s the triumph of overcoming all of that and still being that person. I’m the same kid looking for his parents, that longed for the love and support,” he shares. “A lot of people have faced adoption and abandonment, but it’s not really talked about as to how that affects people and I thought it was important to be a beacon of hope for those people. To stand for something and prove not everyone has to be a stereotype or statistic.”

CHILD OF THE STATE features his current single “Mercy,” Top 5 debut “Take Me Away” and latest effort “Spinning Circles,” which weaves together complex issues of addiction and relationships. Co-written alongside Dave Bassett, Jones sings:

You’re the want that I need / Like that cough from good weed
And those lines that you toe / That slow drip down your throat.

For Jones, the song is autobiographical, explaining “we have all been in relationships that were very unhealthy, where we couldn’t get rid of the person and there was something there that kept drawing us back and forth, going in circles.” Listen here: https://ayron.lnk.to/spinningcirclesPR.

As “Mercy” heads towards the Top 10 at Active Rock, Jones describes the moment he wrote the haunting lyrics: Got me on my knees / too much smoke, can’t breathe. “I just felt like the line epitomized where we were in America. It was like taking a telescope and giving people a perspective of America from an outsider and what it felt like to experience this time. It was a rough story about what was really going on here in this country—and particularly for me, as a Black man.”

Jones crafted a stunning visual for the powerful message with a fairly minimalist clip. He siphons off the grunge influence of his Rock-driven track and melds it with the kind of imagery that flashes, then burns into the subconscious. In a world where “woke” can often be an empty word, Jones holds accountability in a frame-by-frame journey through the raw truth. He also holds his ground, electric guitar as Excalibur, in a church where religion’s own compromises have helped create the mess he sees around him. Watch here: https://ayron.lnk.to/mercy_videoPR.

From the streets of Seattle to full-blown Rock star, Jones has built an uncompromising sound and truth in his music. He extends that ethos here, continuing the same creative legacy of his hometown’s greatest forces such as Jimi Hendrix, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Soundgarden.

    1985: 5
    1986: 10
    1987: 21
    1988: 16
    1989: 19

I turned 14 in the summer of 1986, and started doing anything I could think of around the house to earn a buck, and that, combined with birthday and Christmas money began funding my music addiction via Columbia House and BMG. It makes sense that so many of my picks are from that year forward.

My God, how good were the last 3 years of the decade? Unreal.

Rankings after 21-25 or so became really difficult, and to be honest, there's not a ton of difference in my mind between 21 and 101. Sooooooooo much good stuff in the 80s!

A few groups like Winger, Warrant, and House of Lords are intentionally absent just in case I decide to do the 90s 101 :P

Silver Lining Music release the first project by Saxon's Biff Byford and son Seb Byford of Naked Six.

On July 23rd 2021, there’s going to be a new rock ‘n’ roll sheriff in town, and as their name suggests, Heavy Water aren’t for the light-hearted. Soaked in gritty, riff-baked blues, yet rich with the sound and meter of classic hard rock, Red Brick City’s ten songs refuses to let you go. From the taut, elastic swing of the ‘Solution’ riff to the rich, layered balladic strains of ‘Tree in the Wind’, Red Brick City moves with the class and cadence of a cracking journey uniting vintage rock ‘n’ roll sensibilities with the crackle and excitement of a fresh, youthful perspective.

With Seb on guitar and Biff on bass duties and both providing their vocal talents the foundations for Heavy Water’s sound are set in both that incredible father/son chemistry and a lifetime of know-how and experiences. Take the title track -and first single- ‘Red Brick City’, all steam and smoulder wrapped around a riff Soundgarden would’ve been proud of, and then there’s the sun-soaked smile of ‘Follow This Moment’ with harmonies evoking the Beach Boys relayed through Led Zeppelin, a gorgeous ‘70’s trip right down to the fade out. Produced by Seb Byford and Biff Byford, with Jacky Lehmann mastering, Red Brick City is a rich, lustrous ride through profoundly rewarding rock waters.

  8. Whether you happen to like the song he discusses in this video or not, it is so awesome to see someone reacting to a song in this manner; as a YouTube commenter says, "This is basically watching a man eargasm for 12 minutes" :P

I enjoy most of the videos he does, and would be interested if any of you have any favorites that he has done...

This is another really good one that may surprise you...

and then more standard vids like this one..
