  1. Let's see, still listening to the Y&T - UnEarthed disc, along with:

Mr. Hate - Fragments (WOW! Had never heard of these guys, and snagged it offa eBay for $5 just for the hell of it...and I'm glad I did. Excellent hard rock from these German guys, with influences ranging from Tesla & Dokken to Shotgun Messiah and Crue.Lead singer sounds like Marq Torien AT TIMES,but actually has a pretty unique voice. Good stuff!)

    Meniketti - S/T &

Dave Meniketti - On the Blue Side (Heh-heh, I'm on a Meniketti/Y&T kick here lately)

Peril - Kiss of Fire (RARER than a virgin after prom night! Hard rock outta Michigan with some glam influences present. The production is a little rough in places, but overall a pretty good indie release.)

  2. Listening to Y&T - UnEarthed Vol.1 right now.....DAMN!

Leave it to Y&T to put out a collection of demos & unreleased recordings

that blows away most of the music coming out today!

    This f*cker ROCKS! :banger:

"Standing In the Fire" is an asskicker of a song, followed up by a ballad, "In the Name of Love" that I can not believe didn't make a record before now....AWESOME!

    Well worth getting IMO! :headbanger:

  3. Let's see, been listening to the following this weekend:

Tesla - The Best of... (Man these guys F'N ROCK! Looking forward to their new release in 2004!)

    Mechanix - Regenerator (KICKASS disc!)

D.C. Cooper - S/T (DC is one helluva vocalist)

Don Dokken - Up From the Ashes (Love Dokken, but this one is harder for me to get into....a coupla good songs here)

  4. Here's a mix that I've put together....this one is designed to "pump" ya up anytime of day! You can kinda guess the theme here.....

Bulletboys - Smooth Up In Ya

    Whitesnake - Slide It In

Poison - Talk Dirty to Me

AC-DC - You Shook Me (All Night Long)

    Def Leppard - Slang

    Kiss - Uh! All Night

D'Priest - Ride You Through the Night

Van Halen - Everybody Wants Some!!

Kingdom Come - Get it On

    KingOfTheHill - I Do U

    Warrant - Cherry Pie

    LA Guns - Sex Action

Lillian Axe - She Likes It On Top

Swingin' Thing - Let's Do It With the Lights On

Vinnie Vincent Invasion - Do You Wanna Make Love

    W.A.S.P. - Animal (Fuck Like a Beast)

    Y & T - Eyes of a Stranger

  5. Today what's spinnin' is DOKKEN'S "Back For The Attack".....

A good friend of mine is ALL ABOUT Dokken........I'm not all that familiar.....

Hmmmm..........tryin' to get inside his head!  :P

Heh-heh, be careful not trip on anything in there.....lots of stuff laying around.....and mind the cobwebs over in the corner!

I agree that Tooth & Nail is an AWESOME Dokken disc, but for me, BFTA was the ultimate Dokken assault on the senses! That CD took me through high school, and has been with me ever since! :banger:

  6. Let's see, been listening to the following:

    TNA - Branded

    - Finger on the Trigger (I like the first release better, but MJ, you'll be happy to know that Branded is growing on me!)

Wanted - Over the Top (This Norwegian "Wanted" is quite a bit better than the American Wanted IMHO)

DB Rox - S/t (A one man band....just heard the first few tracks....not bad....'sposed to be kinda rare! )

Second Self - Mood Ring (I'd never heard of 'em ,but grabbed 'em offa eBay....pretty decent indie glam rock release)

  7. Look, I think everyone's who's dealing with this sspert person needs to NOT WORRY about negative feedback, get together, and go after him/her......in the end, if he/she goes to leaving a bunch of retalitory feedback, all you gotta do is offer proof to eBay that the seller has broken eBay's Terms of Service (TOS), which selling bootleg CDs is DEFINTELY violating the TOS,and you CAN get their feedbacks removed from your profile(I've actually pulled this off twice in recent years). I think the main issue right now, is... is there someone out there who's actually paid for their auctions that they won, and gotten a CD-R/bootleg instead of the proper merchandise? Until someone actually has the "fake" merchandise in their hands, it's gonna be tough to prove/do anything, because, as far as eBay is concerned, it boils down to the fact that you haven't paid for the auctions you've won. Think of it this way....sspert may indeed intend to sell a bunch of CD-Rs/Bootlegs to people, but he/she may indeed own the real discs when it comes down to it.....catch 22 there....gonna be interesting to see how this all pans out. Hope eveyone here comes out ok!

    :headbanger:

  8. Hey MJ, That McQueen Street is awesome aint it? I remember seeing the video for "Stick It" (I think...) back in the day and I ran out and got that CD ASAP. Still holds up plenty good today methinks... It's everything I liked about 80's rock: big guitars, big drums, big choruses...you get the picture...it's BIG.

I'll have to pick up that TNA soon.

    :o LMAO!!! Yeah it is!!!

I had never even heard of McQueen Street until recently!! I have a friend who sends me CDs he's sure I'll like.........sometimes they just hit me between the eyes, like this!!!

Man.....that's almost better than se..........well you get the idea!! ;)

Operative word there being ALMOST!

Listening to The Cutt at work this morning...."Feel The Music"'s on right now......excellent slow grinding music! :P

  9. My mailbox was filled with new music over the weekend!

Been listening to the following on & off all weekend through today:

Laudamus - Lost In Vain (Pretty good Christian hard rock; message is a bit thick if you really listen to the lyrics)

Paul Shortino's the Cutt - Sacred Place (Finally got around to picking this one up; you can't go wrong with anything by Shortino!)

Ivory Tower - Heart of the City ( I think the same thing happened with this disc as with Harem Scarem's "Higher" for me on a personal level. I'd read so many glowing reviews & comments across the internet, that I half expected my ears to orgasm when I put it in...but alas, just a slight "rise". This is a good cd, but didn't live up to my over-hyped expectations)

The following 3 CDs combined to absolutely KICK MY ASS this past wekend:

Cry Havoc - Fuel That Feeds the Fire

    Mechanix - Regenerator

    Fury - S/T

Some of the last few years BEST releases! You can't go wrong with any of these! :banger:

Listening to the following this evening:

Lord Grey - Lady of the Lake

Skrapp Mettle - Sensitive ("That Load" had me ROLLING!)

Paul Shortino - Stand or Fall

So much music, so little time! :D

  10. Today (so far) it's KIX!!!  Hot Wire!!

Baby girl and I are up and dancin!!!  "Girl Money"!!  LOVE this song!!

 She's picking up on some of the words.........money......honey.....drink......party........

Her parents are just gonna loooooooooove Auntie Mar today!!! :P

    You go MJ! :P

Say, if you like Kix, you might just like Funny Money too....whatcha think? ;)

  11. Everything's better with a little TNA!

 Groannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!! That's really bad!! But don't you mean T AND A ??? :P

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------]

 You know me all too well MJ!

Listening to my latest acquisitions at the moment:

Eyes - S/T (Damn this one ROCKS! I've always liked Jeff Scott Soto's vocals, and from what I've heard so far, this CD showcases his talents well!)

The Screaming Jets - Tear of Thought (Hey, I got it for a penny + S/H!)

  12. I tend to do like Captain Howdy, and when I find an eBay seller I like, I usually bookmark their auctions page, and look for more of their auctions.

Some of my favorite eBay sellers are:

    starlighthoney

    shirerecords

    www-kissmydisc-com

    80smetalcds

    metalismylife

    metalmayhemmusic

    These folks all ROCK! :banger:

I've only done the one deal with broadwaysmusic, but I was VERY pleased with them as well!

  13. Wow, JK Northrup ROCKS, why had I not been informed? Slowly picking through miscellaneous tracks I grabbed off WinMX in the last few years, and this stuff KICKS ASS. A bunch of them appear to be from a self-titled album, but I have no track names, only numbers, and alas I cannot find it on HH...

Anybody got more info? This is totally my kind of music, especially the tracks with Shortino. Who else has done vox?

Hey Charvel, you ought to look into getting the Shortino/Northrup disc "Back on Track". It's been recently re-issued with 4 bonus tracks by Shire Records. I haven't had a chance to get through the entire CD yet, but everything I've heard so far ROCKS! Shortino is one of my favorite vocalists!

    Shire Records

  14. "Three of the CDs I won were later confirmed multiple collectors as never issued to CD format. "

OK,so you were bidding on titles that were never actually issued as CDs.....

sounds like you were exactly what this seller was looking for...

I'm not trying to be an ass here, but seems like you kinda got yourself into this predicament.
