After a 20 year hiatus, international recording artist and actress Fiona is back in action with a new CD, Unbroken, produced by James Christian of the famed House Of Lords.

Unbroken contains mostly all new songs written by Fiona, James Christian, Tommy Denander, Holly Knight, Marc Tanner and UK pop production team, The Elements. It also includes a dramatic remake of “Shadows of the Night” with DL Byron’s original dark lyrics, a tribute to the beloved 80’s band, Prophet, and a bonus female duet with internationally renowned rocker, Robin Beck.

It's hard to think of the 80’s music scene without remembering Fiona’s duet with Kip Winger “Everything You Do (You’re Sexing Me)" as well as her acting roles as Bob Dylan’s love interest in Hearts of Fire and the Miami Vice second season episode “Little Miss Dangerous”.

Fans will embrace UNBROKEN’s intense melodic rock sound which is driven by guitarist/songwriter Tommy Denander and topped off with performances from original Fiona band member, Bobby Messano.

“I have released this new CD for two reasons. Very polite, albeit relentless hounding from fans and the absolute joy of creating this particular music that I miss so much. After raising a family and getting some sleep it was clear that I was ready to sing again. It is in this spirit that I dedicate this CD to all fans old and new. Thank you for the pushes, gentle and intense. Especially from my friend and fellow artist Robin Beck and the AOR Melodic rock community. Here it is. Enjoy. With affection and gratitude, I am yours, UNBROKEN”

SPV signs worldwide deal with the prime mover - new album out in September

They were the prime mover, they preached back seat education, together with Alice Cooper they fed Frankenstein... now they are back... meaner, leaner and heavier than ever. ZODIAC MINDWARP & THE LOVE REACTION will enter a new decade of heavy dirty street rock n'roll and they declare "We are Volsung". Inspired by the northern mythology the album features 10 brandnew unadulterated songs including a track with the german title "Stark von oben".

SPV/Steamhammer is very proud to have the band on board for a journey to Valhalla and back. The album will be released in Germany on September 24th, in Europe on September 27th and in the USA on September 28th followed by a European tour in October and an US tour in November.

1985: In a musical World of hairspray and spandex, two long haired leather clad rockers were introduced to each other by their "exotic dancer" girlfriends. One, a graphic artist and poet, the other, a budding philosopher. They immediately dropped everything, joined forces and created the dirtiest, wildest band of all time. One year later, they signed to Polygram, released, first the ground breaking High Priest of Love EP, and subsequently the Tattooed Beat Messiah album, containing the well received single Prime Mover. Overnight, they accidentally changed the look of all the rock bands of the time from the obligatory spandex, eye liner and tinsel, to rough biker jackets, Engineer boots and goatee beards. Motley Crue declared them to be their favourite band and immediately restyled themselves for the Girls, Girls, Girls record. ZMATLR grew in notoriety, touring the World and America, co-headlining arenas and theatres with Guns 'N' Roses and finding themselves at home playing festivals and baseball stadiums with Iron Maiden. After attending a Hammersmith Odeon ZMATLR concert and giving it his seal of approval, Alice Cooper then recorded the Zodiac Mindwarp penned Feed My Frankenstein, later performed in the film Wayne's World. The critical acclaim of ZMATLR then caused rare misfortune, when they lost their young naive bass player to the lures of The Cult. The band soldiered on regardless. Sometime later, in Paris, Slam Thunderhide, their drummer decided to put down his sticks to become a GoGo dancer in Vancouver.

Present day: With "The Cat" shaking the Earth on Drums and "Jack Shitt" rumbling the low frequencies, they ride again, honing their skills playing for the Viking descendants in Scandinavia. From these tough, manly ordeals, a new set of recordings have been forged. "We Are Volsung" is the result, a celebration in the Norse tradition. 10 Songs of pure unadulterated rock.

The New Album "We Are Volsung" will be released on SPV/Steamhammer worldwide in September 2010.

Zodiac Mindwarp & The Love Reaction line-Up:

    Zodiac Mindwarp - vocals

    Cobalt Stargazer - guitars

    Jack Shitt - bass

Bruno "The Cat" Agua - drums

    LATEST FROM LION MUSIC:

Lion Music have announced their next two releases, set for May 21 release:

Pangea are a melodic hard rock band that should be a household name, as it stands the band are highly respected on the underground scene thanks to two albums released in the mid 1990's. Retrospectacular marks the release of the bands long thought lost third album with quite a story behind it.

Pangea, have existed as a band in its trio formation of Torben Lysolm (Vocal and Guitar), Jan Engstrøm (Bass) and Tony Olsen (Drums and Percussion) since 1991. In 1992 the band entered a production deal with a producer and studio owner and their debut album “The First” was released in Japan and Southeast Asia in '95. Once the and was ready to release their second album “Manchild” in the spring of '97 a couple of European labels found interest and both albums were released in Europe late in '97. Having high hopes for their third album the band took a big risk and made an expensive album only to discover that the economic market in Japan collapsed resulting in no label willing to pay anywhere near the asking license price.

This however turned into a crisis for the band on a larger scale with the studio where the album was being recorded suddenly closed down. Only drums, percussion and vocals were saved from revivable backups, the rest was gone. The band went through several phases of “what do we do now?” which ultimately resulted in Torben Lysolm leaving the band in 2004 going on to produce and mix for acts such as Acacia Avenue, Section A etc. Jan and Tony auditioned several musicians to replace Torben but no replacement was found and the band finally called it quits in 2008. However, the trio regrouped a little while later and decided to finally finish their third album and see where it takes them.

Torben Lysolm comments, “We decided to redo the whole thing and oddly it was not too difficult. We had worked so much on the previous production of it that it was all still in our backbones even all these years later. We've changed stuff here and there which appeared to need it after reviewing the album ourselves for several years. Lyrically I teamed up with Martie Kolbl. I heard some stuff she had written and I really liked her style of writing. Odd twists and stuff I'd never come up with myself. She wrote the lyrics for 5 songs and I am happy that she's finally going to see the fruit of her labour after all this time”.

“Retrospectacular” is classic Pangea, led by the punchy and expressive guitar work and vocals of Lysolm, the band peddle a similar vein of rock to early Extreme with the guitar skill to match their late 80's/early 90's contemporaries. The album will also please fans of the bands first two releases as the classic Pangea sound is continued here in fine style.

It may have taken over a decade to be finished but “Retrospectacular” finally sees release on May 21st 2010 on Lion Music.
