Alita Battle Angel (2019) - this was pretty good...assuming you like scifi and lots of cgi....it does however have an ending that sets up for a sequel which is mildly irritating....
Alita Battle Angel (2019) - a fun and engaging science fiction movie, I am a bit surprised at how small Edward Norton's part was
Parasite (Gisaengchung) (2019) - interesting South Korean drama, suspense and even comedy, a kind of commentary on class struggle, definitely something different and kept me engaged till the end

I had Chvrches my car past few days, quite infectious pop tunes. Most songs are sung by the girl who I think has a bit of helium in her voice, but there is a guy singing too

The difference between a ACDC and these guys is that AC DC at least wrote about different things. This whole release has ridiculously similar subject matter and most songs and it usually consists of somebody is fighting a battle of some kind and some sort of inclement weather.
imho this is better than AC/DC, despite of what they sing about. They could sing in Swedish for all I care, it would still be better

nice try, but I prefer the original of Dangerous by Roxette, a very classy hi-tech AOR tune
-
I think all these new songs are nice, but to create something better than the FM-84 (Running in the Night) would be hard, such a killer smooth tune, I could listen to for hours

schlager pop and hot German girls on roller skates.....I am still celebrating Oktoberfest
sometimes I get the feeling that all schlager is somehow constructed from a melody of one ABBA song, like some variation of Dancing Queen
Anna-Carina Woitschack - Leuchtturm
Beatrice Egli - Terra Australia

Hellboy (2019) - this one was savaged by critics but I thought it was decent....not as good as the 2 previous Hellboy flicks but not as bad as the critics would have you believe...
new Hellboy was a fun movie, I liked it

A boring album with a very bad singer.
have to disagree, I think the vocals are quite pleasant and so are the songs.

New single from Shotgun Revolution, (I think they've been mentioned somewhere on the forum before), anyway, good band for sure:
nice track, love the chorus, thank you for posting!
I even think it belongs in the AOR/Hard Rock section of this site

This, this, this.
It's not enough to be able to pen a killer tune, musicians all have to be John Steinbeck too. AND write lyrics for each individual taste.
Shouldn't be too difficult.
music is not poetry, so melody hook is more important to me, and lyrics are secondary and don't need to be that great.......it is melody that get's me interested in a song
also most lyrics are not as bad as some people make them out to be

Jeff Paris (Geoffrey Leib) - in addition to his solo rock releases, and credits to Vixen, Lita Ford, Y&T, Alias..... he is also credited with funky Disco songs for Jeffrey Osborne, Pointer Sisters, and LAX
-
the new songs are ok
I was never a big fan of Matchbox Twenty, but nowadays their popular songs are nice for nostalgic reasons, takes you back to that time when one couldn't escape hearing them........baby it's 3AM I must be lonely

Ummm... no. They've become NSYNC in their later years?
I can picture Backstreet Boys do a song like this..
overall a pleasant pop/aor song with strong melody hook

SoftWave - On and On and On
Daybehavior - Train to Moscow
Train to Spain - Monsters
