SWEET dude! Thanks in advance. I have officially given up trying to find the original CD with that song on it... the album was reissued about a year ago but it was the version with "Esccape in the Night" on it, which is the one I already own... would've been nice if they tacked BOTH bonus tracks onto the reissue, but who am I to understand the ways of the music business?

I'm off to a great fuckin' start cuz there was NO fuckin' coffee in this house this morning... had to make do with a fuckin' cup of fuckin' nasty ass Savarin Instant Coffee, which is fuckin' AWFUL... but hey, at least it's fuckin' caffeine eh?

I'm sure that most Barren Cross fans know that the STATE OF CONTROL album (1989) was released in two different versions, each with a different "bonus track." The version distributed to "secular" record stores featured the bonus track "Escape In The Night," which is on the CD that I own. However, the version distributed through the Christian book & music store network contained a song called "Your Love Gives." I have NEVER heard "Your Love Gives" and I was wondering if anybody out there could possibly hook me up with an MP3 of this song? Barren Cross is one of my favorite bands EVER (Christian or non) and I would love to finally hear this song and put an end to over fifteen years of searching. I have never come across a copy of the "Your Love Gives" CD in all my years of used-CD dumpster diving and on the rare occasion that a "Your Love Gives" copy of STATE OF CONTROL turns up on eBay, I always get outbid.

So please, any Barren Cross fans in the house, if you can hook a brutha up with this song, please shoot me a PM and maybe we can work out a trade of some sort. Thanks in advance!!

Happy fuckin' Valentine's Day my ass... I'm home from work cuz my kid is sick with a fucking sinus infection. Poor guy. He's sitting on the fucking couch watching fucking "Superman" cartoons right now, which is pretty fucking cool. Those old cartoons fucking rock.

"Stranded" for me... I saw these guys open for Extreme in the early '90s at L'amour in Brooklyn, NYC, went out and bought the cassette (remember those?) the next day... good stuff, haven't heard it in years though. The tape is long lost and I never did get around to finding it on CD

Right now I'm listening to a couple of tracks I downloaded from "Beatallica," a parody band from Milwaukee that combines the sounds/titles of Metallica and The Beatles.

I just read about'em in the new ish of Metal Maniacs and it sounded so NUTS that I had to go check it out. The article sez that at one point Sony Music (owner of the Beatles catalog) threatened these dudes with legal action until Lars Ulrich himself stepped in on their behalf. Anyway, this stuff is ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL. The singer is a total dead-on Hetfield impressionist and the lyrics are a hoot too! ! I am fuckin' rolling while I'm listening to this... if this sounds interesting to you, hit their site ( www.beatallica.com ) for some hits like "Hey Dude," "Leper Madonna" (HA!), "Garage Dayz Nite," "Everybody's Got A Ticket To Ride Except Me And My Lightning," and many others... they've got about a dozen different MP3s for download. Perhaps I should have phrased the above as:

Right now I'm listening to Heathen's BREAKING THE SILENCE and VICTIMS OF DECEPTION... two classic Bay Area Thrash albums. For anyone who might be interested, the band has all the tracks available for download from their web site (http://www.heathenmetal.com) which was very nice of them cuz both albums are long OOP and ridiculously hard to find on CD (for me anyway)... so now I can finally send my tired cassette copies of both albums off to a well deserved rest. Sleep well, my metal brothers.
