  1. Yea, Sharon still looks pretty smokin' hot for a 48 year old woman... but from what little I've seen/heard about Basic Instinct 2, it doesn't look very promising... they shouldn't have waited fifteen years to crank out a sequel, that's for sure...

My son is watching that "Batman/Superman: World's Finest" DVD again right now... this is the second time today, by the way

  2. Anybody think "Basic Instinct 2" is going to be worth a look or is it going to be one of those "Howard the Duck" style crash-and-burns that becomes a punch line in the years to come? :)

Oh, and last movie I watched? "The Batman/Superman Movie: World's Finest," an animated film we bought for my Superman-crazed three year old... and it's pretty kick ass for grownups too...

  3. Fuck, am I the only one still fuckin' hangin' on this fuckin' thread? Where the fuck is everybody?

Oh well... my son decided to wake the fuck up at quarter to 6AM on this lovely Sunday fuckin' morning (UGH!) ...he's watching Thomas the Fuckin' Tank Engine right now therefore I'm venting my frustration at not being able to sleep the fuck in a little this fuckin' morning on my favorite fuckin' thread on my favorite fuckin' message board. I need some fuckin' coffee!

  4. Further to this, Nick stubbed his fuckin' toe yesterday. You two should start a fuckin' support group or something fuckin' civil and giving like that. Kids will fuckin' love it.

Yea, fuckin' A Nick, how's your fuckin' toe? My fuckin' ankle is still fuckin' killin' me. It ain't so bad just walking around but if I have to go up or down stairs... OUCH

I'm tryin' this fuckin' quote thing again Geoff and Minxx, we'll fuckin' see how it worked in a fuckin' minute...

  5. Geoff, Minxx, fuckin' thanks for the advice, but I fuckin' give up on the fuckin' quote shit for right now... It's givin' me a fuckin' headache...I'll fuckin' try again later...

Speaking of things that fuckin' ache, I twisted the fuck out of my fuckin' ankle last night when I was walkin' the fuckin' dog and it's fuckin' KILLING me this morning. My fuckin' co-workers better not fuckin' piss me the fuck off today cuz I'm in a foul fuckin' mood!!

  6. to single fuckin quote click the fuckin REPLY on the person's post that you want to fuckin quote (bottom fuckin right)

Like fuckin' this? Did it fuckin' work? Fuckin' A, thanks! That's been bugging the fuck outta me since I joined this fuckin' board but I was too afraid to fuckin' ask cuz I figured everybody would think I was a fuckin' retard.

  7. Fuck, I still haven't figured out how the fuck to do a SINGLE quote, never mind a DOUBLE fuckin' quote... that's why I still do the fuckin' lame-ass copy and fuckin' paste whenever I need to fuckin' quote somebody. I'm so fuckin' out of the loop that it ain't fuckin' funny.

  8. I am dying with jealousy every time I read one of your posts, Stormspell...

One of my great regrets in life is that I didn't go to a Monsters of Rock in Nuremberg while I was in West Germany in the summer of 1987 (I was an exchange student on a school trip)... the lineup included Deep Purple, Dio, Metallica, Ratt, Helloween, and Pretty Maids. Probably a few others too but those are the bands I remember. My friend and I saw posters being hung for this concert in the subways around Frankfurt (where we were staying) and thought "DUDE, we GOTTA go to this!" Unfortunately it was happening only a day or so before we were due to head back to the USA and knowing my friend and I, we probably would've been too drunk, lost, or broke after the festival to find our way back to Frankfurt in time to make our plane, so we passed on it. I've been kicking myself ever since and it's been nearly 20 years.

On the other hand, about a year and a half, two years later I found an excellent quality bootleg LP of the Metallica set from that festival, so I at least have an idea of what I missed... :)

  9. Ha, I'd love to jump on a plane and hit one of those fests, but if I were going to do it I should've done so when I was single and in my 20s. Now I'm an old married guy whose spouse & kid probably wouldn't like it much if I dropped everything and disappeared to Europe for a week. Sure would be sweet. Maybe I'll do it when I hit 40 to celebrate my midlife crisis with some of my favorite old school bands! :)

  10. I believe I heard that Grimmett is doing a Grim Reaper set at some festival in Europe this summer but Nick Bowcott isn't involved so I don't think he can legally call it "Grim Reaper"...I guess Bowcott has equal share of the name. Maybe he can call it "Steve Grimmett's Grim Reaper," like "Oliver/Dawson Saxon" or "Mike Tramp's White Lion" :)

  11. Was just checking out the Metal Church web site and in case anyone's interested they have some interesting goodies in the "downloads" section... like "Big Guns" (the extra track from the Ground Zero pressing of the first LP), some stuff from their early 80s demos, and a bonus track "Low To Overdrive" which was on the Japanese version of 1993's HANGING IN THE BALANCE... nice to hear some "new" Church stuff, especially with the late David Wayne on vocals...

As for the current Metal Church, I believe their new CD is due out in May or June of this year... Jeff Plate (Savatage) is their new drummer and it should be interesting listening... I liked WEIGHT OF THE WORLD more than I expected to...

  12. Bobby's lucky to still be walking around, considering that he's survived an on-stage stroke (thankfully minor) and a bout with skin cancer in the last decade... he's the real "Iron Man" of metal!

Grimmett's in bad shape huh? That might explain why the Grim Reaper reunion rumors I keep hearing about always seem to get shot down at the last minute... shame
