  1. I thought

Soooo, I see Impulse Music is now a sponsor and exclusive CD dealer for MR Fest 3. I wonder if when someone walks up and ask them a question if they'll turn their back to them and ignore them?

I thought the same thing Mike. My wife asked me if I should ask them where the hell their store is since we drove to the address on their site and what do you know no store. I used to love buying from them but I've given up unless they can convince me otherwise. I'm wondering if they've now moved back to Chicago area since their coming to this event.

  2. Haha thanks guys. It's a cool thing for sure and the full review is somewhere on the Melodic Mafia page on Facebook.

It was a great show for sure and Bombay and Tango just killed like they do every time I've seen them. For those attending MRF3 you're in for a treat!

Reece is just a hell of a frontman and the band is tight and all of the new tracks sound great live and of course getting on stage to sing was quite an experience. Bombay's new guitarist is great and brings a guitar hero edge to them and the crowd really took to them as well as Tango and love their covers they throw in as well although one drunken fan wanted to hear "Red Solo Cup" so bad(maybe next time guys?!). Hopefully both bands make it back to Wyoming soon!

Now if we can just get Tyketto to MRF3(I hope you're reading this Andrew haha)........

  3. Baby I'll be your rock

    Your knight in shining armour

Girl there is not a thing

    I wouldn't do

    And nothing can stop

This fire in my heart and

    You know that it's true

I'd take a bullet for you

    :yuck:

It's not just slushiness; I think the chorus, especially that line at the end, is truly awful. Spectacularly so. Can't help it, just makes me cringe every time I hear it, so as with many things, we'll have to agree to disagree! :D

I think we should talk about 'To Fool A Nation' and 'Wasted', which imo are very good songs.

I'll meet you guys in the middle as I love Bullet but also love Wasted and Fool a Nation.

  4. I bought the deluxe edition and I was underwhelmed on my first spin.

Yep it sounds like classic Ozzy Sabbath but with only average songs. Yes it's excellent musically and they don't miss Ward IMO and Ozzy sounds great but damn where are the songs???? And every track is like 8 minutes long so that is a little overkill. I'll stick with the DIO and Martin albums..........

  5. I plan on buying this soon and expect to love it since I loved Allen/Lande, Starbreaker and Codex as well as Primal Fear although he hasn't been in that band long.

I about went by this thread when I saw Last Tribe in the headline since I forget about that band and it seems so long ago he was affiliated with them after the Allen/Lande discs became a big deal.

  6. I just bought this and have spun it once so far. At first listen about half way through I was wondering why there were so many complaints as I don't hear Risk at all but the last half wasn't near as good(I got the deluxe version with a few extra tracks). I think it would have made a nice EP but the songwriting is lacking big time compared to their recent releases. I will spin it again and see if it gets better but I want my Megadeth to sound more like Endgame....
