I didn't know you picked up that live Dio disc, nice find!

I bought that one along with the new Airbourne and Megadeth at Best Buy in Rapid City on the way home.

  2. I only have the debut, Mood Swings, Higher and Human Nature but have heard several others.

They are a great band and one of the top 20-30 bands of the MHR genre and I'm looking forward to seeing them at MRF3 in September.

  3. I'm sure I'll buy this as I usually like anything with Kotzen involved but I agree with Captain Howdy that it's a horrible name and I've felt that way since their name was announced a few months back. From what I've read even Portnoy hates the name....

I do wonder what this might have sounded like if the project with Sykes would have happened but Kotzen is an amazing player and vocalist.

The cd hunt was a blast and we all found some great stuff that I still can't believe someone would sell or trade in.

  6. Winger has been fairly active for the last 5 years with two new albums and many shows even with Reb being in Whitesnake as Coverdale only likes to play about half the year. They have had 3 of the 4 original members for a while minus keyboardist Paul Taylor. It would be nice if he returned but I'm not sure with the heavier direction of the last two albums if they need him or not.

LOL at the "Chip" Winger comment above...

  7. "Detroit Rock City" (1999)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WluOWjUL6KQ

It's 1978 and a quartet of suburban stoners are skipping school and heading to Detroit to see KISS at Cobo Hall... naturally, they encounter a seemingly endless series of disasters along the way.

A funny as hell rock N roll road comedy that captures the late '70s period details just about perfectly, with great performances by Edward "T2" Furlong, Sam "Being Human" Huntington and B-Movie queen Lin Shaye (as a crusading anti-rock Mom from Hell).

This flick belongs on every rocker's DVD shelf right next to "This Is Spinal Tap," "Rock N Roll High School" and "The Decline of Western Civilization Part II."

Great movie! I saw it in the theater but just wish the soundtrack would have had more Kiss songs.

  8. Wild street is breaking up?

It looks like Wildstreet is done. Erik (vocals) is recording some solo stuff. Ali and Joos are working on a new project together.. I believe it will be a bit heavier than Wildstreet.

I've heard 4 new songs that Wildstreet had written and planned to record prior to the split. I'm not sure those songs will every see the light of day now. It's ashame as I believe they were the best Wildstreet tunes yet. Maybe Eric will release them at some point.

That's to bad I loved their debut a bunch and dug the video they've had on youtube.
