  1. This is Team Chaos. my daughters Travel Softball team. We play our first tournament of the season Saturday (well, that would be today as I look at the time) Wish us luck. We are the first travel softball team to be based out of Sportswise. This is the first game these girls will be playing together but i think that if we play our best line up we won't get scored on but you never know. Yes, I'm getting ready for some ball. First game at 2:00 eastern time wish us luck. I can't get the link to work that lets you look in on the games so see how we are doing.

  2. McKagan finds himself in another new band: the Walking Papers, which also includes Screaming Trees drummer Barrett Martin, plus singer Jeff Angell and keyboardist Benjamin Anderson, both of the Missionary Position. Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready also plays on the bands album, Walking Papers, out Tuesday.

McKagan describes the sound of the band as dirty blues, both bruising and contemporary, while more willing to indulge in restraint and empty spaces than typical offerings from GNR or Velvet Revolver. But in a three-decade career that has bounced from Seattle to Los Angeles and back and that has included time in the Fastbacks, Janes Addiction and the Neurotic Outsiders, McKagan insists the sound is no departure, but part of a larger repertoire of interests.

    G.I. Joe-Retaliation

I have heard that this one is really bad, acting and story wise? Or is that just the professional critics with their usual bullshit opinions.....

Just have to watch it as a no brainer action flick. I didn't mind it, will watch again to get myself off the fence.

I want to see this one too. and it is at Redbox so it may be a watch next week on my off day

  4. I'm thankful for: when your stomcach becomes upset with what you've ate and you find out you only have one roll of toilet paper and you notice at least it is one of the double rolls and you don't have to go to the store.

I don't like: when you are cutting the grass and you have to raise the mower up because the grass is too high and you know you will have to mow again halfway through the week.

  5. Syfy social phenom “Sharknado” is getting a one-night-only cinema replay, with Regal Entertainment Group set to stage midnight showings of creature feature on about 200 screens next Friday night, Aug. 2.

Exhib leader positions “Sharknado” stunt, with tix priced at $12.50 apiece, as having the potential to build into a “Rocky Horror Picture Show” type of franchise.

Made-for-TV pic from Asylum swirled into a cult hit after a small but potent Twitter hurricane – peaking at 5,000 tweets per minute — accompanied July 11 airing on Syfy. NBCUniversal’s Syfy has greenlit a sequel to be set in Gotham and invited Twitter users to submit ideas for a subtitle with the hashtag #Sharknado. “Sharknado 2″ is skedded to bow in July 2014 on Syfy.

“‘Sharknado’ has become a force of nature in its own right,” Regal marketing chief Ken Thewes said in a statement. “There’s just something epic about watching these huge beasts on the big screen with your friends and family. The crowd reactions will make for a memorable experience in our theaters.”

While it’s unclear whether “Sharknado” will inspire levels of fan interaction that have developed for 1975 musical pic “Rocky Horror,” Regal issued a playful warning to theatergoers that “an umbrella is not much protection” against protagonist Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering), who chainsaws his way out of a shark near end of the pic.

A list of participating Regal theaters is available online at REGmovies.com/promotions/sharknado.

Unfortunately, theater chain will not be presenting the shark-attack fiesta in 3D, as “Sharknado” was produced in conventional 2D, Regal rep confirmed.

  6. 7. "Galaxy Quest" (1999)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtHM77IRkus

The has-been cast of a long-cancelled "Star Trek" style science-fiction TV show is recruited by a race of aliens - who think their TV adventures were real - to help them battle against a real-life galactic villain in this spoof of Trek fandom and sci-fi geekery in general. Funny stuff, with great FX and an awesome cast including Sigourney Weaver, Tim Allen, and Alan Rickman. I've seen this one a bunch of times and it never gets old.

Yeah, it is a great fun movie

  8. "Men in Black 3" (2012)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyaFEBI_L24

In the third go-round for Will & Tommy Lee, Agent "J" must travel back in time to 1969 in order to save his partner "K" and prevent yet another alien invasion of Earth. While in the past he meets up with the younger version of "K," played hilariously by Josh Brolin. This one is mostly Smith's show, and the time travel angle is fun. I liked this one better than the previous "MiB" but it still doesn't beat the first flick.

and there is such a twist at the end!!!
