  1. I wonder if the 3 songs on the Starting Over EP will be included on the full-length?

    Starting Over

    Miss Me

    The Good Stuff

then there was that one song of that Undying Fire compilation, The World We Knew

  2. Been a member for 6 years...pretty much the same length as Geoff, has me beat by 3 months...lol. But I only have 400+ posts. While he has 32,000+...Personally, I don't have much to say. This music genre is dying. no one tours the U.S....Most CDs have 3 good songs, and the rest is trash...I'm not sure how many of you guys/gals attended Andrew's show in May - but attendence overall was HORRID. I think most people latch onto stuff, like the new Unruly Child, and force themselves to like it cause it's new and there isn't much else to focus on. Nelson? Sounds good so far. But its no ATR2. Bangalore Choir? I like it. Not sure its 'classic'. Myself, I find the AOR boring as hell. I admit to being rather opinionated, almost to the point of being elitist. I don't mean to be...I just feel alot of people(and not only here) like alot of subpar stuff. I can't stand H.E.A.T., think they are WAY subpar....others love them. We'll agree to disagree.

Overall, like I said, the genre is on a drastic downward trend. This fact saddens me.

One final point...not that this is a bad thing, per se...but it is rather cliqu-ey here. Tough for new people to get into discussions...been here for 6 years. I don't think anyone's ever taken interest in striking up a conversation....met Charvel TWICE. Once at FarCry/D2 show in Chicopee, Ma. and at MR Fest 2...blew me off both times.

I read more than I post, in other words....a lot of info here. Turned me on to some really great bands....

  3. really looking forward to the smilek disc, their debut is my fave kivel records release & imho the best :)

oddly enough I've heard from several sources the 2nd smilek album is no where as good as the debut.

I can't wait to hear this for myself :beerbang::beerbang::beerbang:

Better than the Adriangale releases? I don't think so... :fuckchops:

The Smilek sure betters any of the Adrian Gale albums. This is probably one of the reasons why the band called it quits & move on to form Crunch :)

I've even told John Kivel Smilek's cd the best album he's put out :)

Smilek sure beats the latest bangalore choir you're plugging :)

Yesh, but does it beat Justin Bieber? :rofl2:

  5. Bangalore Choir's new album CADENCE is due out later this month and I have to say after listening to it that finally a classic Melodic Rock group from the classic era gets in right. With their first album, On Target in '92, David Reece and Co. set the bar incredibly high with high-powered tracks like: Angel in Black( an unreleased Autograph tune), Loaded Gun, Hold on to You, Slippin' Away, and Just One Night...Reece went on to do other things like sing for Accept on Eat the Heat, Gypsy Rose, Stream, and Sircle of Silence before releasing a solo effort, Universal Language, in 2009. But to ME, something was missing. And that something was Bangalore Choir....and now:

    Tracklist:

    Wahzoo City

    Tomorrow

    Survival of the Fittest*

Still save a Song to Sing*

    Power Trippin'

    Martyr*

    Living your Dreams Everyday*

    Heart Attack & Vine*

    Sweet Temptation*

    Surrender all Your Love

    Sprits too they Bleed

    Never Say Goodbye*

    High on the Clouds

    Dig Deep*

    * - Standout tracks. And as you can see the whole albm is basically standout. My ONLY gripe is the lack of a true ballad....Still Have a Song to Sing is ballady, but not a gut-wrenching classic balled-type track...

  6. I have this 'untitled' song....and I've gone crazy trying to find the name of it...

    The chorus goes:

I wish I knew how to survive

survival is all I'm asking for....

What would you do if I asked you to...

Put on your coat and walk out the door....

    thanks, in advance....

Ok...I've found the song title, 'Wish to Survive', but on which album is it on?????
