That's a better track.not amazing but better...but still sounds empty if you know what I mean...just sounds like this track should be more solid in sound with a big thumping beat(maybe its just my speakers?)...sadly it doesn't...for me anyway...have a soft spot for HOL so ill most likely still buy it though.
Agreed. The arrangement is great but the production is missing something. Weak snare drum maybe?

OK, this one is pretty damn good. Definitely their best since Address the Nation, and maybe even better than that.

In addition to the firing of the two rhythm players, the suit says Journey are seeking damages "in excess of $10 million."
What the!

This is pretty much a perfect song anyway, but the verses here are excellent. Hook after hook after hook.
I also like this one.

Yeah it sounds great but I'm missing the keyboards. I hope this song isn't representative of the rest of the album, tbh.

Oceansize.

Another reason we are likely to see huge spikes in cases in the U.S. over the next 3 weeks is that testing is just now ramping up. In other words, a certain percentage of "new cases" will be people who have had it for quite some time, but were not reported due to the lack of testing, so they just now will be included in the numbers.
Right. It's hard to get legitimate data when you're so far behind in actually measuring it.
Anyway, to add my two cents to the thread, this virus sucks shit. As someone who has battle anxiety issues for most of his life, the way everything is just on hold right now is really throwing me for a loop. Things will almost certainly get worse before they get better and that's not sitting well with me.
I'm just trying to be thankful for my own health...

Everyone is really stoked about this one I see...lol

One of my favorite modern AOR bands. I've liked almost everything they've done which is quite the accomplishment these days.
But yes, I really hope it doesn't have the same production as the Kiss of Life re-recording...

Count me in with those who are enjoying this one. As Jez mentioned, it falls short of topping The Greatest Wonder, but is as good or better then the project's other releases.
No easy task, of course. That was one of the first AOR albums I truly loved and it has not aged a day since. One of Frontiers' finest hours.

interesting choices. Is that really your favourite Journey song? I have to admit that I don't really listen to Trial by Fire that much - will have to dig it out for a spin.
Ha, yeah it really is! I don't think much of the rest of that album but for some reason I've never been able to get that song out of my head. There are other Journey songs I love of course.

Something about the production seems off.
That being said, I'm higher on this band than most of you seem to be, and I like the song (although the bridge is a little weak). Still eagerly awaiting the album.
IIRC the first couple singles from their last album weren't among the strongest, either.

I'm supposed to choose just 10?
Fine, but they're not going to be in any particular order.
Journey - Forever In Blue
W.E.T. - If I Fall
Treat - I Don't Miss The Misery
Survivor - Desperate Dreams
Fortune - Stacey
Work of Art - Call On Me
Dare - The Last Time
The Defiants - Hollywood In Headlights
TNT - Intuition
Hess - Reach For You

Really digging this. There is a lot of variety on this album musically but all the songs have that Dennis Ward element of class.

First time listening to this and I'm a wee bit disappointed. This is middle of the road modern Harem Scarem to me. Hope it grows.

What are some of your favorite AOR ballads with a melancholy vibe? Such as these:

Another video out of synch.
Also, why is Alessandro del Vecchio not in their playing keys? Is this not a Frontiers release??
let's not give them any ideas!

If this isn't bad I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Any of my fellow prog fans know of this project? They only released two studio albums 20 odd years ago but they are SUPER solid. Terrific musicianship, especially the lead guitar.

Great as usual. Can't wait for this one.
