  1. Bought Tyketto - Don't Come Easy at Musicstack. It is shipped in the mail.

Looking for Saraya - When The Blackbird Sings. They sent me an email saying I had just missed the order by a few minutes.

I have since changed my ebay id from oderin1967 to healing_power_of_hardrock! ;)

Yesterday, I ordered three more Y & T CDs from my local CD store for $25 each:

    In Rock We Trust

    Black Tiger

    Earthshaker

  2. You Want It, You Got It - Bryan Adams

    Hi, MJ.

I used to have a girlfriend back in Eastern Canada that still treats me like crap. She comes from rich family and she treats me like I don't have a fucking clue about geography. Two years ago, I walked into her work wearing a t-shirt with "Seattle, Washington" on it. I was telling her about what it was like living out here and then I told her I live close to Seattle. Her co-worker was standing next to her and the fat dork says sarcastically "Ooooooohhhhh Seattle, Washington". She's a real La-dee-dah. Not to mention this girl is lazy, politically correct, gained alot of wait, and hasn't been dating a guy since we broke up. I was the first and only guy to ever ask her out. We broke up back in '93. I hope this slob never has kids.

  3. I got a few CDs thru the post yesterday & I have never been so disapointed.

I got two Lee Aaron CDs,"Slick Chick" & "Beautiful things" and they were terrible!

Not terrible in a musically bad way,but terrible in the way she has completely turned her back on her fans!

I had heard she'd got a few jazz influences in her new material, but I'd call it more than a "few" influences!

There is no guitar but plenty of ivory tinkling etc!

If you like jazz, its fine, but if you like Lee Aaron you will probably be severly disapointed!

I'll not be playing these again!

Lee Aaron's real name is Karen Greening. She lives in the Kitsilano part of Vancouver. When I saw her new CD in my local music store's flyer, I was curious as to how she would sound since 1991. I do agree with you on turning her back on her fans using the name "Lee Aaron" and playing jazz. IMHO, she is misleading her original fans. In the mid 1990's, she dropped her "image" and switched to jazz with a new name and that's what she should have stuck with if she wanted to play jazz. Thanks for letting us know, Captain.

  4. Been away from this thread since yesterday and today, pardon my pun.

Went to two CD stores and bought:

Y & T - Meanstreak (Japanese Import) for $24.99.  Scrape Records is selling it for $49. I had to walk another two miles from the bus stop to get to A&B Sound in Langley to get this one.  Only store in my region that carried it.

Y & T - Yesterday and Today Live.  Excellent CD!!!

Is there a Langley in BC, or did you actually drive all the way down to Whidbey Island??? :o

It's east of Surrey in the Fraser Valley. I took the bus down the Fraser Highway from the Surrey Central Skytrain station and then had to walk for another 2 miles to get to A&B Sound. I know it sounds a little crazy but I had to get that CD; only store here that had "Meanstreak".

I'm going to order 3 more Y & T CDs at Borders Books and Music and Tower Records in Seattle sometime next month.

    Moya Brennan - Two Horizons

Thinking about buying Y & T - Yesterday & Today Live for $18.99. I go out to Langley tomorrow to pick up one of their earlier CDs, either "In Rock We Trust" or "Meanstreak" for $29.99. It's on hold. Sure beats paying $49.00 for a Japanese import.
