Well shit...after I posted the link I went there myself & can't find the samples...

Not to stir up any shit, but I thought Bad Attitude was signed to SunCity...I just ordered their cd a few days ago.
-
Who knows if they will deliver or not, but the prospect of a "rocking" Bon Jovi record puts a smile on my face. I loved HAND...still listen to it once every week or two. I think it's easily their best album since Keep The Faith. If they put out something similar to that, I'll be a happy camper.

I just reported the seller's 2 user id's to ebay...we'll see if anything is done.

A great album with some of the shittiest production I've ever heard. Mastered WAY TOO LOUD...in places it sounds like your speakers have blown. Way to go, Rubin.

I didn't get a chance to catch the show, but watched a few clips on CMT.com this morning. A few thoughts:
1) Song selection (Lep tunes) was pretty boring & predictable...though I really liked Hysteria.
2) Taylor Swift has one weak ass voice. She was barely audible over the band at times. Or maybe it was just a shitty mixing job.
3) Def Leppard, in particular Joe, sounded great. I was shocked at how well his voice sounded. High notes were not a problem for a change.
4) Man, she's one good lookin' chick.
Does anyone have a complete song list from the show? Maybe what I saw on CMT.com was incomplete.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention...TOTALLY digging the Charlemagne samples on your site. Can't wait for that one (& of course Dr. Grind).
-
Thanks for dropping by, Stephen. I'm curious about any other artists you have signed that aren't mentioned on your site yet. Especially interested in any Sgt. Roxx info.
-
Picked this up today & I'm totally digging it. Totally faithful renditions of the original songs with updated (read:better) production. Like Dukes said, if Baloff were still alive, he would have been singing on this, not him. He's just trying to do justice to this classic album...mission accomplished.

Recently finished up a nice trade with Hans (hansr) & all went well. Thanks again for the discs!

Okay, I admit, I'm not the brightest star in the sky, so would one of our Euro members explain how this bank transfer thing works?
I've had European buyers want to send me a bank transfer as well.
Do I give them my bank routing numbers and account number similiar to what we do here in the USA for a direct wire payment? Then they contact their bank and have the money wired (transferred directly to me like a direct deposit)?????
Oh....and I suppose the buyer would be the one paying the transfer and currency conversion fees???
I don't know how they work, but I sure as hell wouldn't be giving anybody my account number...you're asking for trouble down the road I would think.

He forgot to list it as HTF
or as HYPER RARE

I think VH1 Classic has been playing this lately when they do their Classic Concert marathons.
From what I saw it was pretty good.
Wasn't that 1991 tour with Warrant and The Bulletboys opening?
I seem to remember some Saturday late night concert show that showed that entire show once.
I wouldn't mind seeing that 7 Days Live Dvd. I saw them on that Native Tongue tour and they were solid and had Firehouse and Damn Yankees opening. All 3 bands were good but Firehouse was the best IMO.
I have a boot of the Swallow This Live show. It's not that great. All around sloppy...guitar playing, singing, etc.
7 Days Live, on the other hand, is great. Definitely worth picking up. Speaking of, that concert was supposed to get a 2cd release a couple weeks ago, but from what I've seen, they just released a 1 disc version & cut out all the Native Tongue songs. What's up with that shit?
They probably cut them out because lets face it outside of "Stand" nobody except people like us know the other NT songs. It's still a stupid decision though.
No kidding...I love the Native Tongue songs.

One thing you can guarantee here, old Exodus fans will hate this. Anyone who touches the old 80's thrash stuff is always met with stuff like "the old material might have sounded shit, but that added to the raw/rough vibe". Which is most likely true (even if it's not my personal opinion). Testament fans slagged the "First Strike..." album big-time, even suggesting the performances weren't as good (Tempesta not as good as Louie Clemente? Are you kidding me?!)...
Read this shit below, about the Testament album, as an example. Fucking morons....
"This is a form of rape which is unbelievable. One wonders why on earth a band would want to re-record old classic songs when nothing was wrong with the originals in the first place. In '88 Maiden re-recorded two tracks from their debut with Dickinson and those versions were pretty good keeping in mind that Harris has never been happy with the production of the 1980 debut album. This Testament release however is insulting and obsolete.
Testament used to be a thrash metal band, somewhere in the eighties. Chuck Billy once knew how to sing. Their debut album ‘The Legacy’ was in a way sloppy but extremely powerful and raging. What we have here are re-recorded songs that sound so utterly digital and clean that the whole thrash metal atmosphere has gone. I want to feel the sweat oozing from my speaker, I want to hear Chuck Billy scream his lungs out, I want to feel the energy of a band trying to conquer the world or at least deafening it.
There’s none of that here. Chunky Billy just barks along with the songs as if he’s always been a second rate death metal vocalist, making a mockery of himself. Have I already mentioned the sterile drums and hideously polished guitars? Oh yes, I did.
Fortunately two songs make it worth tracking down the album for 1 or 2 euros. You’ve guessed of course! The last two songs feature Souza on vocals and it’s great to have a decent version of “Reign Of Terrorâ€. The version of “Alone In The Dark†is a bit slow however than the earlier album version.
All in all this album doesn’t do justice in any way to the originals and I advise people not to spend money on this."
Obviously, that reviewer doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. First Strike was a killer album.

I don't know...I really liked the Testament album "First Strike Still Deadly", but that had all the original members re-recording their classic songs, not a bunch of hired guns. If Souza was doing the vocals, this would probably be killer, but Dukes?
-
Man, they sound soooo good. Hope they release a full length cd soon.

Poison has finally released a live album that sounds pretty damn good. The sound quality (& performance) on Swallow This Live & Power To The People left a lot to be desired, but this time they got it right. On sale this week for only $14.99, & you get a dvd & cd of the performance. Hard to beat that!
-
Just wanted to give a quick shout out to Herve (grabemall) & Tony (duh!) for the recent trades. You guys rock.
-
Wow! This one sounds great...can't wait!
-
As long as they dont turn their back 100% on their roots like Lee Aaron did, and still produce good music, then why complain?
Well, so far Bon Jovi & Def Leppard's attempts have failed miserably.

My question is this...if the band had these made and they sound great what is
the diff in silver pressed and cdr? Sound? Value? I mean I see if some Joe Blow is selling
shit he burned from his computer, but these were done at a CD duping plant right (?)
and the Band is approving them right (?)..just a question...and In no way am I
trying to piss anyone off..I'm just curious. Is there a Big difference?
I'm curious too.
Actually, I did not really realize there was a major difference. We didn't make these at home on our laptops. We went to a studio and digitally mastered everything again and used a professional CD manufacturer to have them produced. The newer CDR manufacturing processes seem to be just as durable as silver pressed, but in the past I know they were not. So, I suppose that has a lingering effect on people's opinions.
There are die hard music afficianados out there who just prefer the silver pressed. This is their right and we will respect that, but if I am missing something, let me know.

This is a topic that's been discussed ad infinitum at the board...the short answer is that some people just prefer silver pressed cd's to CDR media. Now when you get into the reasons for that preference, that's where it gets complicated. Personally, it's like you said...there's a stigma attached to CDR's as being "cheap". Durability is a major factor for me, as well.
By the way, kudos to you for coming to the board to explain the situation & offering a solution. Very cool of you.
-
So will the people who already purchased the CDR's be compensated with the silver pressed when they come available?
I'd like this addressed as well. Shelling out 15 bucks for a CDR & then finding out a silver pressing is on the way just adds insult to injury as far as I'm concerned.

Ok...it looks like all you have to do is enter your email address & then the samples appear...sneaky.
