  1. I love mowing the lawn for the most part, it is relaxing, riding around. The only time I can't stand it is when it is so hot and humid, but then I wait for the sun to set and do it in stages over a couple of days.

Early Fall is the best time for lawn mowing.

  2. I liked Infestation a lot, very solid. I don't specifically play it mainly because there is so much new stuff every week it seems, but I like the Infestation tunes when the come up on shuffle on my PC.

Too bad, I was curious to see if they could follow up with Infestation with something just as good. The last time I saw them live Pearcy was kind of an a-hole and wasn't that interested in being there.

Good thing their last CD was solid instead of leaving us with a stinker. And I agree, solo stuff is boring.

  3. I am probably closest to Alpha's opinion on this one. It's not terrible, but compared to other stuff that is released these days it is really hard to justify putting a huge score on this one. Maybe it's a grower as PeterS said. There are some good songs (Rat Race, Out Of This World is a nice closing tune) but there are some really bad songs (Storm In Me...hurts my ears).

So, copying the format all you guys like to do...

    1. Midnight Driver Of A Love Machine 8/10
    2. Queen Babylon 7/10
    3. Rat Race 8/10
    4. Better Days Comin' 7.5/10
    5. Tin Soldier 5/10
    6. Ever Wonder 7/10
    7. So Long China 7.5/10
    8. Storm In Me 1/10
    9. Be Who You Are Now 6/10
    10. Out Of This World 8.5/10

    66%

Which is probably a little harsh at this point if it turns out to be a grower. And compared to most of the percentages this group gives out it is on the low side, then again I think this group rates stuff way too high anyway as even shit CD's seem to get 50-60%. But I digress.

With releases like H.E.A.T, The Treatment, etc. I cannot even come close to putting this one within their range. A 66% is an ok CD by standards. I find about half the tracks good and some of the bad ones might have an element or 2 to give them some credit. If it was a $7 CD at Best Buy I'd give it my money but not much more unless it grows on me.

  4. importcds.com - but only if it is in stock; they will take your order if its out of stock then usually takes forever to get the cd, if at all

cdinzane.com - only ordered once and it went well, but i think other folks here say their customer service is non-existant

aorheaven.com - i have not ordered from them yet but I hear good things

  5. Louisiana rockers LILLIAN AXE will release their thirteenth album, "One Night In The Temple", produced by Steve Blaze, on April 15 via CME Records in the USA and Canada and via Melodic Rock Records in the rest of the world.

Performed acoustically in an intimate setting housed in a Masonic Temple in the Bayou with LILLIAN AXE's most diehard fans, "One Night In The Temple" features all the band's hits, including "True Believer", "Show A Little Love", "Crucified", "Misery Loves Company", "Ghost Of Winter", "The Great Divide", "Bow Your Head", "Waters Rising" and the crowd favorite "Nobody Knows".

LILLIAN AXE guitarist founder Steve Blaze reflects: "When I first had the idea of putting this show together, it was originally going to be a private 20-person show with acoustic guitars, vocals and no production, however, it took on a life of its own."

"One Night In The Temple" will be released as three-disc set (2CDs/1DVD and 2CDs/1Blu-ray), housed in an elaborate digipack. Filmed in high definition, the Blu-ray and DVD will contain the acoustic performance, fan question and answer session, videos for the songs "Caged In" and "Death Comes Tomorrow", live concert footage from the band's July 4, 2013 performance at the Paragon Casino and behind-the-scenes footage.

  6. I think most folks here would agree that

Are worth your time to check out.

This was their big MTV hit, Sleepin' My Day Away

Personally I like these 2 CD's very much. I don't know their earlier stuff and their latter stuff I think they tried to adjust with the times and were hit and miss with that, IMO.

  7. Just FYI, in case there are any hard core fans that didn't know this existed. I didn't until now.

    Editorial Reviews
Three decades of unique high-class music! Denmark's most successful Rock act in history celebrates its 30th anniversary the way it should be done: loud, proud & hungry for more! The title basically says it all: '30 Years-30 Hits' is the perfect career-spanning retrospective album, time to look back and reflect, but also a great opportunity for all those who want the best - and nothing but the best - on 2 CD's.

  8. I guess if it sells for that then it is worth that.

It all depends on how much money you have to burn. If the buyer is somebody rich, say Tiger Woods, heck $10,000 is like a penny to us.

Think about other items. Cars for example...$30k, 40k, 50k here in the US for SUV's, sports cars, etc. Someone else who can only afford a bike or the shoes on their feet would think we are crazy.

If I was rich, and I wanted that CD, I'd pay the money. Call me insane but if I was rich at some point I was sane, smart and lucky to become rich. ;)

  9. Even though the summary Stephan posted a few pages back made mention, I think it is worth pointing out for those of you that didn't read all of it but plan to purchase:

Deluxe edition includes one audio bonus track and a DVD including a Making of the Album documentary and videoclips for Rat Race and Better Days Comin'.
