  1. Check out Innocent Rosie's Debut "Bad Habit Romance" as well, it's out the same day through Swedmetal as well! Definately a winner!

Yeah, that 'Knock me out' video is pretty cool. I'd like to hear more of this for sure.

Geoff, check out their Myspace for further samples! Sounds like right outa LA circa 1989, an album that Guns'n'Roses shoud have done!

  2. Thought I'd add their pic...

These guys have a little to work on , but I'm helping them big-time...

Ladies and Gentlemen , The NEW Def Leppard has arrived....

AWESOME news, Sam and congrats on signin' those guys!!!! :banger::drink:

I've been waiting a long time for a release, I just love "Fist of Fury" and "So Long"!

  3. On a more positive note , I just signed a band that is the second coming of Def Leppard and LOOK like Dirty Penny. I can't freaking wait to unleash this band to the public - I'm telling you, these guys are Def Leppard all over again (circa Pyro / Hysteria) and I think these kids are gonna have a hell of a future....

Okay, now you've got me interested! Is it Wildstreet? That would be phenomenal!!!

What a fantastic year this is goin to be

  5. Great stuff, too bad they only release an EP, I agree with Lennie!

  6. Dirty Penny are friends with one of my acts SHY TIGER (who actually are very similar). D.P. have a good debut album and I'd probably sign these guys but let's face a couple of facts here...

Guitar player isn't really that good. (listen to solo in the 'video' song - ugh...)

    Singer is flat ALOT

Yeh , the backing vox sound good but they cannot pull them off live.

I think the Swedish bands like CrashDiet or even Hardcore Superstar are just doing it better.

Not to take anything away from D.P. because I respect and appreciate what they are doing , it's just that others are doing it better...

    Just my 2 cents.

Agree on some parts with you, Sam! While Dirty Penny's debut is a good album that I really enjoy a lot, it does not get close to outputs of the likes as HCS, Crashdiet or Crazy Lixx (or pretty much any Swedish band around). But let's see how they go on, as I think DP have a lot of room for improvement and they definately know how to write a good song. It's great to see bands like DP marking their territories in the USA as well!

Out of curiosity: Do you consider starting to sign "new" bands as well since you say you'd sign DP?

While this year has been a fantastic one for Melodic Rock, 2009 is promising to be a MASSIVE one for Sleaze-lovers! :banger:

Have a naughty X-Mas everyone! :christmas:

  7. China / ST will be released in January 2009, but the track list is pretty strange  It has a rare track "When Passion Burns" but two original songs "One Shot To The Heart" & "Don't Look Back" are missing. :hammer:

In the news over on melodic.net it says there are going to be 13 tracks incluing those two on it, so they were probably just missing because of a copy/paste error...

  8. I am dying to hear the new Danger Danger album and also really looking forward to the new Blanc Faces and Jaded Heart discs.

On The Rise should be good too - that was a really good debut. I'm sure the Stan Bush album will be fine, but it's just Stan Bush. Same with Jorn. It'll be a good album, like the rest. But neither of them will be spectacular.

d2 is definately my most desired on par with the next treat & bad habit ....... as doubt there'd be a marchello / vestry in 2009 ..

Yeah, I'd have to say they're my most 3 desired at the moment too. Any news on the Treat one? Why is it being kept so quiet, or am I just not looking in the right places?

I guess Wig Wam are due for a new CD too, aren't they? Would LOVE to hear that too.

Wig Wam are definately due, I guess it will be out around May. In January there is gping to be a solo-albm from Age Sten Nilsen (aka Glam), which could turn out to be stunning as well...

  9. I get the strong impression that this album is goint to be a killer! Teaming up with Chris Laney is the best thing they could have done.

Just out of curiosity, who is Chris Laney? A producer?

Yes, Swedish producer, songwriter and musician. Produced Crashdiet, Crazy Lixx and quite a few others (amongst those Steevie Jaimz upcoming album, which judging by the 4 songs on his myspace is going to be stunning!). He's a member of Randy Piper's Animal and Zan Clan and wrote and produced those albums as well.

Very talented guy in my eyes, who already has/produces a very distinctive sound, especially on backing vocals, which is similar to what Mutt Lange used to produce.

Okay, so you guys got the message: I'm a fan of his work

  10. I get the strong impression that this album is goint to be a killer! Teaming up with Chris Laney is the best thing they could have done.

I still rate "Cracked wide open and Bruised" higher than "Doin' you Nasty", although Hometown Hero probably is my favourite song.
