  1. He's a shite singer but no denying he's a good entertainer. I have only ever heard one song that i liked and that was 'Kharma Killer'. No thanx to the rest.

Disagree! Like him or not, to call Robbie Williams a "shite singer" is too harsh. Don't like many of his songs, but I think his performances on songs like "Angels" or "Feel" are quite stunning!

In fact I'd love to see him fronting a rockband!

  2. This one is going to be huge!! I saw them live about 3 weeks ago and they played a new song called "Rock and a hard Place", which you could call an instant classic as it got the crowd going crazy within seconds!

Huge? How big was that crowd you saw them with? I assume they're still playing small clubs.

Well yeah, with "huge" I was actually referring to the album not the crowd ;) the crowd was somewhere around 100 people (which isn't too bad for a one-off gig without any sort of promotion if you ask me)...

I can't wait for this one, based on the demo-samples you can hear on their studio-blog-videos...especially the (very small) clip "Blame it on Love" sounds great to these ears!

  3. Received my copy on Tuesday and have given it a couple of spins. Another very cool Swedish band with a mighty fine self-produced slab of Sleaze, which to my ears somehow sounds like a mixture of Hardcore Superstar and Backyard Babies. Standouts so far are the title-track and Road Dog Souls!

  4. I received this cd yesterday and this one is definately going to be in my Top5 of 2009! The first 10 tracks sound massive and are simply put nothing but stunning! "Goodbye Good Luck" and "Fade away" soundwise fall a bit short compared to these 10 tracks, but I think those 2 tracks are the ones that they recorded earlier on. They somehow feel more like bonus-tracks as there is a great ending in "Shine On", which somehow seems to mark the end of the "actual" record.

Great, great release and by far their best work to date!!

  5. Okay, I received my copy a couple of days ago and had a few spins...and I gotta say, that as much as I would like to love this one, it's just pretty average to me, mainly because of Binge's vocals!

Don't get me wrong, the song-writing is good and there are a couple of really great riffs on here, but the voice somehow spoils it...all in all I'd say a 70/100.

  6. Received mine as well about two weeks ago!

Production is pretty huge to my ears and the playing is top-notch! The songs are sort of a mixed bag: When they're good the ARE good (The One and Ride your Life being my absolute faves), but there also some fillers imo. And "Big Time" as a choice for the new single is a bad decision in my eyes.

Still, all in all a fine release, which I enjoy! It's great to see Hair Metal bands evolve from various countries besides Scandinavia as well!

PS: "The One" is fantastic and should be the next single!! :)

  7. I've always liked Babylon Bombs, but their upcoming third album sounds like a freakin' monster!! Produced by the mighty Chris Laney, you can't go wrong...check out the samples:

    Babylon's Burning Samples

Edit: I hope though that "Fade away" actually is a full-lenght song and not only a 5 seconds fade-out

I'm at work so i can't hear the samples yet, but in your opinion who would you compare them to?

I finde them quite hard to compare actually. Can you imagine a mixture between Aerosmith and Backyard Babies? That's probably as close as it gets, but the new one adds more power in the same vein as Chris Laney's "Pure" release!

    Melodic, but sleazy Hardrock :headbanger:

  8. Steevi is Mr Rock N Roll, but his voice and material is never what you would call "stunning".

I dont expect anything too different from him on this release, so basically it will be fair solid but unspectacular.

If you've heard the Chris Laney solo-disc and like it you'll love this one! Laney and Ringman took Steevie to a whole new level from what I've heard so far!
