Thanks for ordering the Mata Hari double CD - would love to get your opinion on how it turned out. I worked my butt off on the audio to try and get it to sound as best as possible (considering the sources i had to work from). Nemesis -- i am just waiting for the master tapes.

Tracer Fox -- Artwork is in progress and working on mastering the audio now as well as getting a hold of some bonus tracks to add!! Thanks for your interest!

Damn I live in Sioux Falls and have never heard of them. I'm gonna have to do some snooping around and see what I can find. Would love to hear it, any way you can transfer the cassette to mp3's?

Uncle Sax the band only released it on cassette tape and was there only release , they were signed to a smaller label but broke up before they could release that .They later went on to be known as Razor Kane ............I do have there unreleased material very cool better than Shoot From The Hip ...The vocalist now is in television doing local stuff ......

Anyone ever heard of this obscure Sioux Falls, SD band? I have a cassette from them of this album from 1990. Very solid release!! Couldn't find any info on them online though. Did they release anything else?

Just seems like it's all aor/hard rock/metal.

 

Is it that Retrospect aren't looking at any glam, or just that there's not much coming forward?

 

Its just that there's not a whole lot of glam out there that is unreleased. I think its better suited to Eonian and SunCity. However , I did get approached from Pretty Boy Floyd and a couple other glam acts so I would definitely sign em if they are good!

The Strike Twice is f@#king awesome, I love it.

So many good tunes with "Tuff Luck", "Intoxication(the part before the chorus sounds like 'Tangerine Man' from Kik Tracee)", "Never Let Go", "One Night With You", "Wake Up Cryin" and "Undress Me".

 

Also loving the Felony and think it's the heaviest and most rocking thing to come from Eonian so far and expect to like it even more when I have time to give it a few more spins.

Should be getting the cd's soon ...looking forward to the new songs.

By the way what ever happened to SuncityRecords...no activity since Feb 2009

Just got the Uzi cd...and it ROXX!!! I really like the Gynger Lynn 1st cd and just listening to some songs for their 2nd cd....which is even better.

Also looking forward to Dr Grind, Broad St Bullies (just listened to a song by them and they Rock!!), Sweet Sybil (Just as good as the Uzi CD), Bad Attitude, Felony, Wanted, Snakeskin Cowboy, Ronny North, and Legacy(another cool band worth a listen to).

Megaton Blonde is still being transferred from the original reels to digital format. These guys are KILLER by the way. The song Digital Doll is unbelievable.

 

Problem Child 'Primitive Attitude' is in production.

 

Both Michael Furlongs should be available within 2 weeks.

 

Both Aftermath releases also wihin 2 weeks (for all you thrash fans).

 

The triple assault of LYNZEE releases will be available in July or early August. (Wait til you see the ultra-controversial front cover for 'Victim of Nirvana' - well you can imagine - lol)

PERENNIAL -- i am currently remastering their tracks and putting artwork together. Should be released in 6 to 8 weeks.

 

THE PRESS & GASTINEAU - I will have the masters for these next week - absolutely killer 80's AOR!! So i anticipate a 6 to 8 week release.

 

MPG -- This one will be out by the end of summer at the very latest - with 4 additional unreleased bonus tracks!!

 

ESSENCE -- A fantastic pomp / AOR recording! Just looking to piece together artwork and a track listing and this one will be out soon!

 

ALSO -- Some NEW interesting signings on my end include:

 

ILLUSTRATOR - Not only are we re-issuing both Illustrator albums on 1 disc but we are also releasing a 3rd album - recorded in 1993 and never before released!! This is great Christian westcoast AOR featuring guitarist Dann Huff. FRONTLINE -- This fantastic westcoast AOR band from San Francisco were very active between 1983 and 1993 and recorded some of the finest music i have ever heard - most of which was never released. MATA HARI -- We are wrapping up this Double CD set (a studio and a live side) for release very soon. Killer melodic metal with a progressive flair featuring guitar virtuoso Greg Millikan!!

Is this one the Bad Attitude? The guys who sung 'One night in your arms'? Strike Twice and Bad Attitude?! Unbelievable. Possibly the 2 best bands I have heard who remain(ed?) completely unreleased.

Sorry to bring your excitement to a screeching halt, Geoff, but I don't think it's the same band. I have a list of 19 Bad Attitude songs sitting in front of me and "One Night in Your Arms" isn't one of them.

 

In other news, since you asked a few posts above, I have been assured that the 2nd Gynger Lynn album is better than the first. I trust you consider this good news.

 

Finally, for those who haven't visited Eonian Records website lately, I'll just go ahead and let you know that Shake City and Uzi are scheduled for release in late July.
