  1. A friend of mine is looking at getting some of his older stuff released with them. So from what I'm reading that wouldn't be a bad thing is what I'm getting?

Cool...hope he does...FnA is a very good label..fast delivery...excellat product and Steve is a great guy...I picked up a few cd's and very satisfied...can't say more...BTW what is the name of his band???

Very cool to hear that! Here's a link to the Facebook page, the band's name is Harmzway: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Harmzway/116373148375708

Hey I know Damon...was talking to him not long ago...I was the one who suggested to give Steve a call...and get the ball rolling....His band really Roxx!!!

Haha, way cool! I've known Damon since the 80's, and he was just as awesome a player and a person back then! Very cool of you to suggest that to him, I know he'd really love to get his stuff out there, and I think it deserves that chance!

Me to...he has the licks and hooks...great songs...and a awesome person and guitarist...I hope the material is all released on CD.

  5. Just wanted to let everyone know to check out FnA Records.

Awesome label....I picked up the Hawk, Badd Attitude, Simmonz cd's and Scarlet....killer releases.

Steve and the staff responed to my e-mails and recieve the cd's very quick.

Thumbs up to Steve and Staff........looking forward to the Priscilla 'Eight Lives Gone" CD.

Another band to watch for in 2011 is Royal Blood on FnA Records. :beerbang::drink::git:

  6. just to add to (and correct) some of Sam's post:

Its not James Neal but his replacement Mark Weitz that is featured on several tracks on one of the Americade releases. Mark also sang with Malmsteen and is VERY reminiscent of Jeff Scott Soto.

Sam also forgot to mention ORPHANN "Up For Adoption" -- classic melodic rock with pomp and AOR overtones from 1977 is due out shortly.

Also THUNDERBOX will be out at the same time. This is superb pomp rock / AOR that features David Mikael of MPG and DAVID.

New releases (on my end) for the new year will include:

ILLUSTRATOR -- III: Effect Of The Boomerang -- featuring 15 fantastic songs from the final and unreleased album from this superb Christian Westcoast AOR band. Some of these songs are surprisingly heavier than whats on their previous albums.

CRYSTAL PROJECT -- also known as CRYSTAL PISTOL but changed their name due to confusion with the Canadian band. This will be a 2 CD set of all their material recorded in the late 80's / early 90's. This New York based band are simply unreal. One of the best AOR releases on Retrospect to date. Wait til you hear this one!!

KABLAMACHUNK -- this strangely named band from New York just gave me all their material to release as a double-disc set. Recorded in the late 80's / early 90's. Produced in part by Blue Oyster Cult's Albert Bouchard -- this band mixes elements of AOR, melodic rock, prog rock and powerpop with superb results.

TRACER FOX -- Yes, its been in the works for a while now but the drummer keeps finding more and more material!!

We'll probably end up with 2 Tracer Fox releases - one being produced by John and Dino Elefante -- but this IS secular music, not Christian. Most of these songs have never seen the light of day (including the Elefante produced material). Killer 80's classic metal / melodic hard rock!

Other releases I am working my ass off to get out early 2011 include:

    GENOCIDE (early 80's metal)

HENDRICKSON (solo project from Genocide's lead singer/lead guitarist)

18 NAMES "Armed and Ready" (featuring Karla Goldman -- with bonus tracks and live DVD)

SURRENDER -- all 3 releases to be reissued "No Boundaries", "Ship With No Sails" , "Full Circle"

ONE EIGHTY "Turning Point" -- Christian California AOR band

PARAGON -- featuring ALL the material recorded by this killer California based AOR / melodic rock band.

plus all the releases that revered New York guitarist ROY COSTON was a part of throughout the 80's and 90's including:

BANDIT, FLM, ARDENT, DC STRUT, LOVEBONE

I am probably missing a few but that should keep you going! LOL!

    your comments are appreciated!

    ROCK ON!

    Aaron

and don't forget to check out all my vinyl LP records and cd's i am selling on EBAY!!

What about the Sanchez release....was this not scheduled for January to????????

  8. oh and i forgot to mention the band with the strangest name on our roster:

    KABLAMACHUNK

New York based band from the late 80's / early 90's. With some unreleased tracks produced by Albert Bouchard. Coincidentally, the drummer from this band went on to work with Albert's BRAIN SURGEONS project.

    ROCK ON!

    Aaron

Awesome Aaron...looking forward to all the releases especially the Ironclad, Tracer Fox and Amaricade.

Any word on the release of Nemises....killer band from NV. :drink:

  9. Hey guys. Just a quick update. Picking up 12 new releases from the plant today! Keep your eyes on the website.

Rocklahoma last week was our most successful one yet. Although they ditched the majority of 80s bands in favor of modern bands , the Rok veterans enjoyed our bands and everyone had a blast. I still think younger people are closed-minded about the "classic" sound but that's just my opinion.

Next week we're off to the coveted M3 festival in Maryland to support our band MASS and sell our wares to the 80s fanatics!

We are confirmed for the biggest 80s festival of the year! Rock n America fest in Oklahoma City in the third week of July. Have you seen the line-up? 3 days of hair metal mania! We'll be bringing in Wildstreet , The Glitter Boys and Firstryke as well as hosting a vendor spot.

Speaking of Wildstreet , here's a promo video for their new song "Cocked n Ready"

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmIbSN4G_vM

Staying busy , will keep you updated when all this madness calms down.
