Human Nature by America and The Datsuns

Definitely never thought they were AOR, was putting them on the hard rock side of things. -
Human Nature by America and The Datsuns

I mean Harmonic Generator??? This track is dripping with 70s sleazy goodness but legitimately I leave it to the masses and throw myself on the mercy of the court :-) honestly, I'm just playing around. My whole point on submitting these bands is because I feel like they belong AND that the folks who frequent the site will enjoy them. If they don't/won't then by all means they shouldn't be included. -

I don't think you'd ever hear a solo like this in a punk song but obviously this is your site and punk DEFINITELY doesn't belong, I just really don't see The Datsuns as a punk band but if that's where you think they fall then I withdraw my submission. https://youtu.be/o_DHCL2Q2d0?si=LLyuc4pH--tSFfMZ -
Human Nature by America and The Datsuns

Maybe because their singer has a snotty voice and some of their songs are fast but they're definitely more of a sleaze glam revival band. I mean The Donnas are on the site and they're basically a punk band with big riffs. -

I was really surprised that they weren't already here. -
Hey All, So I guess a lot of the cds that I've been submitting don't really fit on the site. Much like Small Town Titans and Collective Soul I wanted to get your thoughts on The Human Nature album by America and The Datsuns debut album. Personally I think that the America album is a departure from what they've done before and even though it's still folky definitely goes into AOR territory and The Datsuns album is 100% sleazy glam... sounds like GNR, Buckcherry, and some of the dirtier 70s bands. Curious what you guys think and if you feel like they fit.

Kissinger Charm

Sorry, I'll be more conservative with my suggestions going forward. -

I love the song Hello Operator so I looked up the album on Discogs and it's listed as a CD-R. Is it actually a CD-R and if so what's the quality of the disc like?
-
Thanks, I'm still wondering if Collective Soul could make it onto Heavy Harmonies.
-
Sorry, I was thinking of Alter Bridge not Creed. I was actually talking about them being listed on Heavy Harmonies not discussed on the boards. I apologize for the confusion.

I see bands like Default, Creed and Fuel on here and I'm not saying those bands don't belong but I also feel like Collective Soul was closer in sound and presentation to old school hard rock than any of these bands. Undeniable hooks, earworm riffs, catchy choruses. Huge swagger but I saw someone complaining that they should never be on the site so... if I was to submit some of their albums would they be rejected?

Thanks for checking! My memory isn't what it used to be.

Weren't the Dirty Americans on the site at one point? I think their brand of sleazy hard/southern rock would fit in on the site. I actually think pretty much the whole Liquor & Poker roster should be included here.

Are you guys familiar with his books? I'm thinking about picking them up. They seem pretty informative.
