  1. 1. Lordi

    2. Wig Wam

    3. The Night Flight Orchestra

    4. Dynazty

    5. The Sweet

    6. Pink Cream 69

    7. Kissin' Dynamite

    8. The Maine

    9. The Quireboys ()

    10. Blind Guardian (because of a twist in the myth, one of my top 3 albums)

Close to the top 10: H.e.a.t, Palace, Powerwolf, Edguy, Avantasia, Crazy Lixx, The Poodles, Kiss...

  2. I really like their songwriting. It's basically only the voice that I cannot enjoy. There's so much autotune and nothing that sounds cool or transports fun (always very strict to the melody, always the same loudness, bad pronunciation).

Enough of that....! Rabbit Hole, Sinbiosis, My Parade, Jesus from Hollywood, Magic, to the end of love are damn great songs.

  3. Honestly I never liked more than a few songs on every album. I just listened back to their selftitled. Only "man enough" got me entertained.

"Kick" is a very good start for me. I really like the chorus. I'm just worried that it's the outside writer who elevated that song. I like that it's not the typical DL chorus (title - xy - title - xy)

  4. I like the two new songs more than most songs on the last album but Kenny is missing this certain coolness that Erik had. Erik was very powerful and loud on the one hand but could also be very quiet so that it felt like he was speaking directly to the listener. It feels like Kenny tries to proof that he has as much power as Erik. Sadly he's singing with pressure only, still it doesn't sound as big as Erik's voice.

I think Kenny needs more space in the songs. Maybe some verses need a quieter instrumentation to explode in the chorus. The music that Creye plays would suit his voice better. Hoping for some light AOR, even though I'm usually a fan of their heavier edge.

  5. When they released their debut album I only listened to some samples and thought, they sound cool but one little thing was missing (which I can't name). I thought they might improve when they're a bit older (not knowing who's in the band and only guessing they are still very young). I missed that they released a second album, honestly. I only found out about Zenith on Heavyharmonies. Listened through the album and finally I found that little something. They sound younger than ever (especially the vocalist is incredible). The songs sound familiar yet creative, maybe here and there a bit long. Evangeline, Love is a fighter & Don't wanna are my favourites. The only real criticism I have is that the Crowdpleaser-chorus starts way too loud vocally.

  6. In the past Kissin' dynamite used to release albums without any bad song but also without real highlights. I always liked everything they did but I rarely loved it. This time they kept that first tradition (no bad song) but there are plenty of highlights. All 4 (!) ballads are fantastic, "what goes up" is so groovy, "defeat it" has one of their catchiest choruses ever.

What's missing a bit are the nasty riffs but anyway, might be there best album or at least close behind Megalomania

  7. Again they praise Perugino in the press release (they all sound the same, even the quotes...) and Del Vecchio picked out 10 more out of his 17.487 demos... I can't hear it anymore.

BUT I really like the song somehow:blink: Must be the first ADV song that really catches me.

Has he always written the songs for Find me or who else did that before him?

  8. Vibration was wonderful, 4 of 5 songs were perfect in my opinion. The only thing I noticed is that Vibration had a different, maybe better production than fake perfection. I prefer the drum sound there on vibration. What do you think?

On Carnival Days there were too many alternative or indie elements for me... Don't know if I can call it like that but there were some very modern experinents that to my ears didn't fit to their 80's rock sound.

  9. It feels different to their previous albums... Only 9 real songs, more guest writers... There is a breath of fresh air but a bit less of what I need from Crazy Lixx. My favourite is "Caught between the rock & roll". Sounds like old-school CL even though Danny didn't write it. Thief in the night isn't really a long-track. It's a three minute song covered in a 4 minute coat. I think with two more songs I'd buy the album but right now there's nothing really making me wanna buy it.

  10. Oh sorry to hear, good luck with that.

By the end of next month Lordi will release a boxset with 7 new albums via AFM and someone from the fanclub just asked if it might be possible to find some samples on Heavyharmonies before the release.

It's the only website I know still posting samples before the release date. In general audio samples became rare these days.
