I hear you, JamesEagle. I tend to stay away from abbreviations in general. Just something about them bothers me.

They are pretty cool. They played at Rocklahoma this year. Talked to them backstage during Godsmack... nice guys too.

But how come you weren't watching Godsm- LOL! Sorry, couildn't make it through it.

Very solid hard rocking CD. Much better than any Jackyl album I ever heard, I must admit.

Cool. I'm liking what I'm hearing. I'm thinking about buying the disc. It's good to hear that it holds up.

Bill made my favorite band happen. In fact, I specifically said to him, "Thank you for making my favorite band happen" the one time that we met. It's interesting to think about the fact that he's actually had a massive impact on the music and pop culture of the last four decades when you consider what he did for KISS and everything that has come of KISS' contributions to the entertainment world.

Bill wasn't just a guy behind the scenes. He had a vision for KISS and saw it through. Without him, KISS certainly wouldn't have been nearly the same and may not have happened at all. Like Fat Freddy mentioned, he did A LOT for the band. I remember a funny story that he told. Back in the early days, Paul Stanley wanted to ask to borrow some money. He went into Bill's office and they began talking. However, Paul ended up leaving without asking to borrow the money. At some point, Paul eventually told Bill this story. When Bill asked him why he chose not to ask for money, Paul told him, "While we were talking, you put your foot up on your desk. I saw that you had a hole in your shoe and I realized that you didn't have any money either!" Those early days were scrappy, but Bill believed in KISS and the world thanks him for it.

Definitely. I've always wanted to check the rest out. It's just an issue of too much great stuff, not enough money!

Jeff and Dana have played the same style their whole career, pick an album.

To be honest, I really only know the old stuff like Stick It To Ya and The Wild Life, totally different stuff and well before Tim died and Jeff joined.

This sounds like Vince Neil with Slaughter as a backing band. Nothing modern about it...

Wow, like Slaughter? I'm definitely not hearing that at all. Which Slaughter album?

I just listened to it again to refresh my memory. The music is definitely modern. The vocals sound more like Vince Neil than a more traditional modern singer, obviously. I'm not saying that it's a bad song by any means. It's not what I was hoping for, but it's okay.

I was actually pretty excited for this CD a long time ago. I was really disappointed when I found out that it's pretty much a covers album. As for the title track, I thought that it sounded quite modern and was just kind of "there." I admit that I only listened to it once or twice. I've been reading a lot of positive things about this album, here and other places, so I will try to give this thing another try and consider buying it.

FINALLY, after YEARS of waiting, Jettblack has released their debut album, Get Your Hands Dirty. Has anyone else been following these guys? Does anyone have the disc yet?

I definitely hear the Buckcherry comparison. Is there a link to buy the CD?

Hey everyone, for some reason I just signed up here, but I've been coming to this excellent site for many years, maybe 10-12? I love all kinds of great rock music like this and I love talking about it. I look forward to some fun discussions here.

I'm quite impressed by these guys! If I could go to my doctor and use a song to tell him, "This is how I want to feel," I would probably use "Beautiful Bomb!" Lots of other great cuts on this disc as well. I am definitely in the category of people who LOVE "Back To Paradise." I hear the comparison to KISS' "I Was Made For Lovin' You" without a doubt, and that's a great thing to me!

Depressing. What were young people so angry about in the early 90s? I was only 7-8 at the time.

I liked/like it quite a bit. I always kind of assumed that it was well-received by fans in general. It's only been within the past year or two that I've started reading a lot of negative reviews about it. Maybe I just wasn't tuned in five years ago. Well, I like it at least. However, I have to say, I think that they topped themselves with the excellent Revelation. I hope that the new one is another winner!

I think that I have to go with Don Barnes, but all three are incredible singers. You definitely need both Don and Donnie in .38 Special. Max's work with the band was great as well and he has also done other fine work.
