  1. My brother's name is Bob... am I missing something here?
  2. I found this forum while I was searching for info on my Friction Baby Talk CD. Yeah, I have an original too (from what I hear, I should throw it up on eBay!!! jk). I used to live in Erie, PA when Friction was popularly playing there back in the late 80's early 90's. I took some guitar lessons from one of the guys in the band as well. I picked it up at one of their shows. It was during the transition from cassettes to CD's. I was working with another Erie band at the time called X-it. We only had cassettes for sale. I was impressed when Friction had CD's, so I had to get one. I think I bought it at Rainbow Gardens when X-it and Friction played an all ages show there. Must not have listened to it often, because it looks brand new. Anyway, I was turned into an indie-fan through my association with X-it. Met a lot of other bands while on the road, and picked up some of their stuff. There was another band called X-it from Connecticut, which was pretty good, Barfly from Jamestown, NY area, and Tokyo Rose from Jamestown was probably the best indie CD I have. My husband ran sound and lights for area bands so he always picked up band CD's from jobs. I never understood why bands like Tokyo Rose and X-it from Erie (whose last singer was Pat Monahan later to go onto Train) never made it, while some of the crappiest bands in the world get signed (Faster Pussycat - blech...). After X-it broke up, the boys in the band went their separate ways and all put out their own indie CD's with their new bands. Got all them too, but nothing beats X-it for me. Never put out an official CD, but I still have cassettes of them, some never even opened! God, I never get rid of ANYTHING! LOL. Hope to pick up some new/old/rare titles and talk with those who are "in the know". Kate
