  1. Did someone hold a gun to your head? hahaha.... no.... there's a foot of snow outside, I was nice and toasty on the sofa and I didn't feel like getting off my ass to find the remote. Shit happens.
  2. Escape to Witch Mountain (1975 - Walt Disney) Hey -- flying Winnebagos and Eddie Albert -- you don't get THAT in many movies!
  3. Everyone Under Your Testicles Evacuate RWOFV
  4. I would love to see Harry Connick, Jr. I took my dad to see Rosemary Clooney. She was actually very good. I also took my daughter to see Arlo Guthrie and Judy Collins. Arlo was awesome and Judy was scary old!!!!! Took my husband to see Metallica a few years ago in a no smoking (anything) arena... just ain't the same as it was in MY day.
  5. I just bought myself an advance cd of Pavement's Terror Twilight. 1999 on Matador Records. It's a promo copy... and NOT FOR SALE (as the sleeve so boldly announces). I'm diggin' it now... it's not bad...
  6. Aww Freddy where were you when I was in high school? I was the least coordinated girl alive. I spent my time playing the tuba in the marching band and the violin in the orchestra when I wasn't going to rock concerts and getting stoned. When I was 20, I decided that maybe ballet lessons would help my clutziness. After 5 lessons or so, I got his huge growth on my pinky toe and had to get it surgically removed. The doctor asked me what I was doing differently and I told him ballet lessons. He laughed and told me to stop doing that. I guess once a clumsy dork, always a clumsy dork. No amount of ballet would help.... I did, however, learn to play ice hockey at the age of 45. I am a goaltender. Yeah, I just basically have to stand there and have people shoot pucks at my face. I also participate in the scottish games aka highland heavy athletics. We throw heavy stuff around ... logs, bags of straw, big rocks and chunks of lead on a chain all while wearing kilts. It's AWESOME!!!!
  7. This is too funny. I just found Led Zeppelin pajamas on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...alenotsupported
  8. Inuits Unlock Igloo's Odd Odors M E I W R
  9. I'm running XM right now and I am lovin' Rock @ Random, on XM161 It's like they hijacked my CD collection, stole my iPod, and read my mind. They play everything I like and not much that I don't like. Right now it's Queensryche's Jet City Woman.
  10. Thanks so much. It's a lot of money and that makes me nervous. Probably makes him nervous too!!!
  11. There's a KIND of Hush - Herman's Hermits
  12. My dad called me this morning to see how the weather was. I told him it was raining. He asked me how my daughter was doing in school. I told him fine. He asked me if I was doing anything this weekend. I told him no. He told me he was walking down to the post office after lunch. I asked him what he was having. He told me he was probably going to eat a salami sandwich on wheat bread if he could find any mustard. I said that sounded good. He said bye, I said bye and hung up. Then I filed some scale tickets and ate a peppermint. And how was YOUR day?
  13. I decided to list my Friction CD on eBay. There's a bunch of watchers, but this guy contacted me and asked me about shipping costs of Hungary. His English wasn't that good, but he said he wants it and wanted the cost. I had it listed with free FexEx overnight shipping in the U.S., but it was $10 more to ship via USPS International Priority, so I told him $10 more. Do you all think that's fair? He has 100% feedback and has paid some pretty high prices for some CD's, but what you see there isn't always the entire story. The auction ends in less than 2 days, so if you know anything about this guy, I'd appreciate your input. I've never sold something expensive on eBay... usually just crap from my attic, etc. Thanks.
  14. Wow, I saw Anberlin in concert 2 years ago... Edgefest in Buffalo with 12 other bands. I had to take my daughter since she was under 16 at the time. Out of the 12 bands, I only remember a few and Anberlin was one of them. Rockin' band!
  15. kate, where the fuck do you live dear? what state? Western New York. 60 miles southwest of Buffalo. Can you say Lake Effect Snow? Wish the damn lake would freeze over so it will stop snowing. You know how you always see on the news how Buffalo is snowed in and how terrible it is, blah, blah, blah.... it's always worse here ...it's just that we don't have a damn TV station to show the nation how bad off WE are down here in snow hell! We've learned to deal with it. Fuck Mother Nature... she's a bitch.
  16. 30 years from now the nursing homes are going to be full of Tiffanys and Michelles rocking out to Aerosmith, while young punks wipe their asses.
  17. Devil's DAUGHTER - Ozzy Osborne
  18. I'm really lucky. I weigh garbage trucks at a landfill for a living and not only do I have my own office, I have my very own building! I have my XM radio out there, so I can listen to what I want to when I want to. I can sing really loud, dance, play air guitar and be a general asshole between trucks. 8-1/2 hour day and I normally get 130 trucks. I can be a rock star for quite a few hours a day. I'm just trying to figure out a way to hook up my Xbox and play Guitar Hero all day (and get PAID to do it!).
  19. I'm so fucking sick and tired of this fucking snow and having my feet be fucking freezing all the fucking time. Only December and we've had 48 fucking inches of this shit. When I retire, I'm moving to fucking New Mexico.
  20. Remember the Titans. Man, the guy who plays Randy on My Name is Earl sure has lost a lot of weight! He was huge in Remember the Titans and in American History X (which I watched yesterday ... again). Dang!
  21. Ok, I'll be honest here. I'm a 48 year old woman who still loves the 70's and 80's... but right now, this very second, I'm listening to Barleyjuice's new CD, Bonny Prince Barley. Barleyjuice is a rockin' Celtic band. Yes, BAGPIPES ROCK!
  22. I sort of agree with Metal T ... although MC's Dr. Feelgood was okay, it's not as good as it's all hyped up to be. Yeah, big deal ... they were all sober. I sort of liked them better drunk and stoned.
  23. X-it is my favorite band ever because ... Even though they were a local Erie, PA band, I got involved with them when I was at a low point in my life where my husband at the time was being a real prick. I was working at an ad agency and during my first week there, the most beautiful boy I had ever seen walked in. Tall, long wavy blond hair, tight jeans, boots, intense. Turned out he was the agency's owner's son and he was the lead guitarist for a band. Well of course I had to go see them and little by little, I ended up typing up their set lists, selling merchandise at the shows, photographing them, going to their practices, hanging out at other times ... they just made me feel like I was important and gave me the courage to tell the ex- to f-off. But more than that, their music was awesome. It was one of those CD's I could listen to over and over without getting bored. Their shows were a mix of originals and covers, but their originals got more attention from the crowds than the covers. Their second cassette release was just as good. They went off to California and some came back and some didn't. They were one band that REALLY should've made it and it's a shame that the rest of the world didn't get to experience their music. I still keep in touch sporadically with some of the band members. And that beautiful guitar player ... he still is. But for more mainstream bigger label bands, I guess it would have to be .... Metallica. I know, I know, they're not the most talented musicians, don't rag on me for that, but there's something about James Hetfield's voice that draws me in. I could listen all day. I can't say that any of their albums as a whole is a favorite though. Close second has to be Queensryche, then Rush. I like their "story songs". Sort of "intellectual rock". Operation Mindcrime is one of my all time favorite albums, as is Hemispheres by Rush. Also in my top bands has to be Monster Magnet, Styx, Bad English, Damn Yankees and Journey.
