Army of Darkness uncut.
Man Bruce Campbell rules!!

Eric Brittingham does not like people looking at Inga's Ego. Tell your friend to listen to Nightsongs and pray for His sweet mercy.

Whitesnake-Good to be Bad
It's gonna take a special album to keep this from being my album of the year.

Aeolian is just harmonic Minor tho, which only expands the Minor pentatonic to a Normal Minor Scale...by 2 notes. Dorian on the other hand is quite a creative scale (although i prefer Phrygian), so ill hand it to them there...
unlike Wotty, i have not once said "Iron Maiden are the shittiest band around" ive simply stated that i, personally, do not like them....and the reasons behind that...they are good musicians (well, still not sure about Bruce..)
and this might anger a few of you....but i cant stand Judas Priest...im just not that interested in that sort of metal..
All seven modes or scales (whichever you prefer to call them) only increase the pentatonic by two notes.
There are some "exotic" scales that have more than 7 notes but they are very rarely used. Whole tone and chromatic scales also have more but you can't build licks out of them really. They are pretty much there to keep you in time by allowing you to choose passing notes that aren't in your normal scale to get from point a to point b.
Sorry about the guitar lesson boys. I'm a nerd about guitar.

Maiden uses very few pentatonic runs. For the most part their solos are based on Dorian or Aeolian. Both of which can sound very pentatonic-esque.

Once again. Most maiden songs don't sound the same. Unless you have a horrible ear for music. And since you play guitar I sincerely hope that's not true.
Listen to an actual maiden album. Not just their "hits" Sun and Steel sounds nothing like Killers, and Still Life sounds nothing like Aces High.
Don't bad mouth bands that you don't even listen to enough to be familiar with their sound (by your own admittance).

Eric Brittingham called this morning and asked me to let you know that his hair is more important than all of our collective lives.

Well i'd pick "Smoke This" over "Piece Of Mind" any day!
Picking Lynch Mob over Iron Maiden is sad sad stuff.
Now Wicked Sensation by Lynch Mob is better than anything Bon Jovi has ever done.

Headbutting handfuls of glass shards is better than Bon Jovi. I do dig Blonz though.

Oh yeah I am listening to Flick of the Switch by AC/DC. A very good and under-rated album.

I can still down a fifth of Crown Royal in one drink. The results of doing so aren't very pretty though.

Gasoline by Dirty Looks.
All I can say is "WOW!" It's like they never stopped recording. I mean it's no Cool From The Wire but this is still a bad ass cd. Anyone who hasn't got this now, sign off, go to the record store and get this damn thing. Rock albums this good don't come around often these days and the only way to make sure we get more is to buy them when they come out.

Tommy Bolin-Teaser
Iron Maiden-Powerslave
Pantera-Power Metal
Ver nice choices. Especially Teaser. Tommy Bolin is totally under rated as a song writer.
I am currently rocking New York Dolls - New york Dolls.

I have no clue if this is true or not but I heard the Artie Fufkin character was based on Doc McGhee.
