I started this topic almost 8 years ago to the day and still don't own this CD. I have it in mp3 format but would still love to add this to my Aussie CD collection.

They have returned with another new album this year... consistent as hell, as always - very nice stuff;
1. dont come down
2. bad behavior
3. lovely
4. black butterflies and déjà vu
5. taxi
6. do you remember? (the other half of 23)
7. little
8. the sound of reverie
9. lost in nostalgia
10. i only wanna talk to you
11. lonely
12. how do you feel?
If you've ever heard them before you know exactly what they sound like and they stay true to their sound. If not, here's my favourite song off another very consistent album;

And there's really cool stuff like this too;
Awesome! Will check this out right now.

Really nice song, look forward to hearing more.

Agreed. A couple of those songs break the 6 minute mark which isn't good with songs like these. If your gonna write a 6 minute song it needs to grab and hold you.Nice song, a bit safe like Geoff said, but quite good.

Pretty good track, look forward to hearing the full album.
-
Pretty solid. Like the guitar work and keyboards here.
-
Pretty boring track.
-
Nice. Nothing wrong with a band that sounds like ACDC.

'The Light in Your Eyes' is an ok song, the others are pretty average I have to say. I am a fan of the first couple of POL albums but don't think I'll bother with this one.

Even better, love it!!
Definetely hear the DFP vibe there too.

Some people might have missed the other song the first time around, here it is just in case:
Excellent!

And Nic used live in Melbourne and played in a band with his brother called Maeder. They, Maeder, used play at Joey's.
Really? I didn't know that. Saw Maeder play a few times, probably around 10 years ago. Remember them supporting the Screaming Jets one night.
As for Gotthard, I've been a fan since the early days but must say they are patchy. I haven't really paid much attention since the Lee era but probably should. Human Zoo and Domino Effect are two of my favs.

Average song.

If I close my eyes and listen to that first song it sounds really very cool. But FFS, get rid of the vampire outfits and top hats! They have potential to be excellent if not for the gimmicks.
-
Great debut album, looking forward to the follow-up. Hard to say much after a 20s sample but it did sound promising.
-
Excellent band, always keen to hear a new album from them.
-
As others have said, the first track above is the best. 'Six Ways to Sunday' isn't bad either. Overall pretty catchy and worth keeping an eye on.
-
Nice, I like it. The keyboards there are what make the song work for me. Keen to hear more. Excuse my ignorance, I know Bert Heerink vut who are the other lads?
-
Very nice, hope to get this EP and even better a full album if it's anything like this.
-
Sounds really nice!
-
Another good one, loving what I've heard so far.
-
Sounds real nice!! ?

Yeah cool band, will be picking this up for sure. Nice cover too!
Your opinion on these Aussie classics

Yeah I was under the impression that Avion released their albums on vinyl only...I have both their albums on a 2 on 1 CD reissue...don't think it's legit though. I also have a bunch of Avion 7" singles with unreleased b-sides. Killer Aussie band!
