yeah a big tune with huge chorus, very 80's!

they've been in the news lately due to induction, so I had this 2011 album playing in my car today. A pleasant melodic album with good vocals, however no big song there to stand out.

Very bog average for a Night Ranger album and I don't like saying that.

but it's not worse than for example Hole in the Sun

SNL - "More Cowbell" sketch with Blue Oyster Cult..

Orgazmo - "I don't wanna sound like a queer or nothing but I think Depeche Mode is a sweet band"

SNL shorts - Lonely Island stuff like "I'm on a Boat ft T-Pain", Dick in a Box, and The Curse with Sax guy Sergio

Dante Fox is good stuff!

for what it is, i think it's a fine melodic metal album, good vocals, and songs came out pretty catchy

I liked the single Stay With Me, and the album is not bad either...

I noticed people have been adding the term Hi-Tech to AOR to refer to a wider range of 80's pop and synth stuff

I think it's gone now, but a few years ago on Youtube there was a nice video with scenes from Footloose to music of Spirit of the Night, it fit very well!

have to post some 70's Euro stuff... start with Kurt Hauenstein and his Supermax project, then some Frank Farian stuff, and finish off with some Musikladen dancers shaking it to DD Sound....

Anyone has any thoughts on 2017 Eurovision?

I live in US and almost nobody here has ever heard of this. However in the past years I've been checking our some performances on Youtube. I also check out some national selections, like Swedish Melodifestivalen, both HEAT and Eclipse participated several years and Stage Dolls were in the Norwegian selection. None of them made it to Eurovision, but that's ok because I think sometimes selections have better songs than what goes to Eurovision.

This Italian song I really liked, but it won't be in Eurovision because it did not win Sanremo, however it was in the Sanremo festival selections this year.
