I saw this last night and thought I'd add my story. A while back I picked up some Retospect releases and when the package arrived it was busted up and some of the cds were missing. Instead of doing some investigating I called Sam and started raising hell. I was really pissed and put the blame on him. He offered to replace what was gone or send the busted box back at his expense for a full refund. I was just about to pack things up for a return trip to Vegas when something hit me about the package. It was stamped that it went to Pittsburgh. I went down to my local post office and they informed me later in the day that(according to the mail center in Pittsburgh) the package had been busted open and that they had put back the cds in anthor box and then proceded to mail it on to me. That's why it went to Pittsburgh first and not here to West Virginia(it was busted open or broken into between Vegas and West Virginia).I called Pittsburgh raising hell that several cds were gone and I was called by a investigator who determined (in their opinion) that the box must have got damaged and several items destroyed and thrown away but no paper work could be found to verify that. Anthor thought from her was that a postal employee kept the cds that were damaged or missing from the box. Of course I called Sam immediately to let him know what I had found out through the post office. I then began a long series of apolgies to him for jumping the gun and blaming him for the damage and missing cds. This is where he floored me. He said whats gone and I'll ship it you a.s.a.p. at his expense. He did just that and made sure that I was happy. My praises and hat goes off to you Sam and the rest of the team at Retrospect for that. It's a jesture that I won't ever forget and buy the way I'm still sorry for gettin' so upset at you!

FarCry - High Gear

 

After waiting for almost 6 months for this it's finally playing in my stereo. So what does this thing sound like?

Well if you remember back to the days of being young and cruising around in the summer with your windows down and jamming to all of the great melodic rock bands of the day then that's what you get hear. I'm talking Def Leppard, early Winger, White Lion, Tyketto(I could totally hear Danny Vaughn singing these songs), Hardline, Danger Danger, Bon Jovi(back when they were good) and many others but it's all tied up with a solid modern production. Sure the spirit of the 80's/early 90's is found here but it doesn't sound dated at all and I could totally hear many of these songs on the radio today. Pete and the rest of the band along with Kivel and everyone else(Ty Simms) who worked on this should be giving each other highfives because they've hit a homerun with this release. Oh and it might be me but the guitar playing on this is just f#@king exceptional IMO and I'm not saying that because I know Pete, it's honestly that damn good.

This would describe me also. I know when I was going thru my divorce 18 years ago my ex-wife would call in the local radio station(every evening) and have this dedicated to me from her. She must have taken the divorce personal.I guess the lyric's that would describe her would have been "Take the money and run"

Matt, You can pick up the Damn Yankees on Half.com for $4.42. Of course you will have the $2.99 shipping charge. I don't know if it has any cut-outs,markings etc. Three sellers have it for $4.53 or less. Hope I helped.

Picked up Rough Cutt (Anthology) and bought a lot of common titles from a guy who was selling his entire collection. Picked up 80 titles of Dokken,Ratt,Dio,Faster Pussycat,Tesla,Wasp,White Lion,George Lynch,Lynch Mob,Lynch/Pilson,Queensryche,Kiss,Ozzy,Whitesnake etc. Also picked up 3 Junkyard cds from the band along with 3 Y&T cds from the band. Made a couple trades and it's been a busy week.

Man I haven't heard of that being Ebay's policy. Every Japan seller that I've bought from on Ebay offers shipping with cases or without. They offer either way on each cd lsiting. So with it spelled out and listed that way I don't see how they could do it if it was a violation of Ebay's policy??? I have bought from several sellers in Korea and they offer both shipping options also(cases or no cases). I have sent cds without cases and I have even put 2 cds in one case for people to help out on shipping costs.

Gotta have it as soon as it's avialable. Great guitar rock!
