  1. I had to go with Guns N Roses, because it really rocked my world at that time..........Y&T, Whitesnake, The Cult and Aerosmith had really strong releases that year too. Also, Faster Pussycat's first CD came out then too, if I remember right. I saw Aerosmith on that tour with GNR as the Opener, Bon Jovi came out and did "I'm Down" with Aerosmith, must have been interesting backstage with Aerosmith, GNR and Jon BonJovi in the same area.....

  2. I like Ratt's albums better as a whole, Kix's early albums didnt seem to have very good production. Ratt can be pretty shaky live, saw them back in 1987 and they really weren't that good. I saw them again on the M3 concert they had on uverse and the band seemed to be kinda rough. Kix is well known for kicking it live and they were great at M3.

  3. I have a question about Jani's song writing credits. On all the Warrant cds it list Jani as THE song writer, but on an official best of cd that I have it list different members of the band as being song writers as well. So why is that, is he really the great songwriter everyone thinks he is? Or did he have some kind of contract with the band and record company? I just find it hard to believe with 5 members of a band the singers not only writes the lyrics but ALL the music also(riffs and solos and fills). Anyone have an answer?

That's what I've wondered about......I heard that there wasn't much record company interest in the band before he was in it, so maybe he was signed, kinda like Jon Bon Jovi was? I don't know...Jani was probably just responsible for writing the vocal melodies and the chord progressions. The Joey Allen and Erik Turner probably wrote the lead licks, etc., well, the ones the actually played on, anyways...CC Deville from Poison played the Cherry Pie solo and the bit at the beginning of Uncle Toms Cabin.

  4. Last concert I went to was Whitesnake/Skid Row/L.A. Guns at Wisconsin State Fair in August 2011........L.A. Guns was good but too short, Skid Row was horrible(mistakes, especially in I Remember You), and Whitesnake was quite good, although David Coverdale's voice was showing some strain towards the end of the show. Whitesnake also did quite a good mix of songs from their catalog and played several songs off of Forevermore. The title track, Forevermore, sounds great live. Doug Alrich and Reb Beach are awesome live guitarists, and Brian Tichy's Drum solo was very cool as well!
