  1. Poison has finally released a live album that sounds pretty damn good. The sound quality (& performance) on Swallow This Live & Power To The People left a lot to be desired, but this time they got it right. On sale this week for only $14.99, & you get a dvd & cd of the performance. Hard to beat that!

I've got the original VHS L, from memory its recorded in London, great gig, saw them on that tour later.

  2. Not sure which one came first Paris or Screamin Mimis. Susupect that CCs band was running alongside Paris and the combination became Poison.

What is interesting is that I have a video of Screamin Mimis rehearsing Talk Dirty to Me (with Billy Dior from D'Molls) years before Poison recorded it . Years later on LWTCDI they then claim that all 4 of them wrote it. Seems some others actually should be credited with that.

  3. Okay, I spoke to Boa about a couple of weeks ago. He's still keen to put this out, he's fairly busy so I've been helping out finding out about how to get the rights etc to use cover versions on the album. I think he's probably waiting on me pulling together the paperwork which I'll do once my life slows down but like everyone else here I really want this to see the light of day shortly so I'll pull my finger out as this is one of the best underated bands ever.

  4. Definitely a quintessential glam-metal album. Love that last song, "I Wanna be With you." Still think they could've come up with a better band name though...

Named after a pretty notorious american gangster, so its a bit tongue in cheek with the image and his persona.

  5. Yeah, I just say that remember the internet is a global thing, not a United States thing or a British thing or a Aussi thing. even if the site is based in the U.S. anyone from anyplace can access the site from their home. I just overlook the "other language" post

Probably the most sensible response so far, lets face it, it is the world wide web.

  6. I got a couple of live shows on video by Penny Lane recently - one is pretty funny where the bassist ends up in a fight with some guy in the crowd.

Also got another cable TV show with Lovesick which had Billy Gash on drums. I'm trying to work out if Lovesick were pre Penny Lane or after - anyone know?
