Good call! I used to have a compilation cassette called "1986 just for kicks." and this was one of my favorite tracks. It takes me right back to my High School camp. Thanks.
You are welcome! I love this song. I don't remember it as a kid I was only three but I used to see the video on vh1 classic all the time.

Epic ballad. Right up there with the best IMO. I don't mind saying that this track helped me through some rough times. I still find it incredibly powerful and inspirational today.
How about this one? Not a big fan of this album but this song like all their ballads emotional and insprirational

I preferred their last album with the new singer over this one to be honest
But still some good songs on the new one
The previous one was alot more Metalcore than this, but I am glad Danny is back and Into The Fire is an awesome song. I prefer their electronic sound the best honestly.

Saw Darkstone post Hold The Dream and suddenly had the urge to listen to the album

Saw them do this live a couple years ago. Trent did this song justice. Ian Curtis and Brandon :ee would both be proud

It's a great song, I didn't know it was a cover when I first heard it.
Here's a link, in case somebody missed it:

Yep, agree on both counts.
The way covers should be done.
Updated, slightly different and personalised.
Either that or completely different.
In saying that, I heard a cover of "Only You" tonight at the end of Designated Survivor. Better than the original.
I'll see if I can find it.Agreed! Also depends on the artist. Not a big fan of completely different genres doing a cover. Like electronic song being done without the electronic sound. But again depends on the band

How about that Confess cover of "Eye to Eye" from "A Goofy Movie"? I can't help it, I'm really diggin' that one.
I loved that song and movie as a kid. They did such a great job with that cover

Steve definitely sounds the same, to the point where I actually wondered a few times if there were original vocal tracks taken from around the time of the debut.
Well the videos I saw were not from the 80's. They look old(er). But as long as Steve has his voice I am in.

I'm not a massive fan.
They're the kind of band who I really shouldn't like at all, but I found myself listening to Revolution Baby a lot, and then being lazy and not changing the disc and eventually I found that I dug a lot of cookie monster vocal songs. The contrast with the clean vocals works.
Songs I like the most are
Revolution Baby
My Own Life
Burn This City
Miles Apart
Unbreakable
Catching Fire
Black Hole HaloMy Own LIfe is a great song on any level, with normal vocals throughout.
The kind of song that would be easily missed by everyone based on them not listening to the band in general.
My favorite song on the album

The honest answer is yes (because pretty much all of it was written at around the same time as the debut), and no (none of the songs on this are as catchy as anything on the debut, which is why they were not on that album I guess).
Overall it IS classic PBF, and a great release, but the fact they had to go back and re-record these old songs kinda shows you that Kristy could only ever write one great song (his writing credits on this one are a joke, and another example of him claiming other peoples work as his own).
Regardless of my feelings about Kristy and his business practices, I do love this album. One of my faves this year no doubt.
Saw a couple videos on youtube.. His voice sounds like their debut so that's enough to make ita decent album. Atleast IMO.

I guess I should relisten to this album. I haven't been a fan of them since their Only Inhuman album.
