  2. My wife tolerates the cd's at best, allows for some spending from time to time, but would have the cd's sold of in a nano second if she could.

    :lol:

    Music has been an amazing attribute in my life, it has always been there through thick and thin and has never talked back, smacked me, etc...

    Terry, that's the same for me since 1979 and I am sure what I would do if my wife would say "me or metal" (btw, she never would say this :) ) - I decided for Metal, even if I love hear from the bottom of my heart...

  3. Dudes, I don't know if this thread has been posted before but:

    I thought it could be might interesting what's your thoughts on it:

    I think there are some peoples here having wives/girlfriends. Did they like your (our) music and what are their thoughts about your (our) passion to collect cds / vinyl (for Sharatan ;)) ? My wife listen to some melodic stuff like Bon Jovi, Nickelback, Gotthard, Savatage,... but she's not really into my music. She's a really cool lady and let me do what I want, haha!!! She also accept my passion for cd collecting, but drivin me sometimes mad with words like "...how much did you paid for this and that..." :axe: . I must say that I am also a cool guy and never play my music through the speakers if she's at home (my headphones glowing all days :whistle: ). So it's always partytime if she's not at home :bananamac:

    So guys, how do you on the board deal with this situation? Has it caused friction in relationships? Has it been a case of "it's either me or the Metal"? Has listening to Metal been blamed for bad moods? Or do you just get ridiculed for listening to it? ?"

    Opinions and anecdotes would be appreciated too :lol:

  4. MP3 is cool for listen, but have you ever seen a shelve with mp3's? We need shelves with VINYL and CD's and this rules...

    :lol: My wife would love such an mp3 shelve ! ;)

    Yeah, shelves with CD's rule !! :tumbsup::headbanger:

    Hey Bernd, My wife would do that :sm164: if I would ever run into a mp3 shelve ;) maybe she's the only woman who says "...your shelves are lookin sooo cool with all those cd's"...

    LOL ! Does your wife know this one ............... ?!

    George, you can do this also with vinyl :lol: use maybe STREET CHILD or WYZARD. ... :axe:

    The most problem for me at the moment to collect indie and private pressing cds since a few years is, that the most bands still releases only CD-R's and this is by heart a real bad thing for all indie CD collectors. Don't think that this stuff will be rarities in about 10 years... Anyway, in my opinion cd's are not passing by the next few years and as you can see for vinyl, everything turns back!!! MP3 is cool for listen, but have you ever seen a shelve with mp3's? We need shelves full with VINYL and CD's and this rules...

  7. A big hello and welcome on board Odin!!!

    It's good to see that young farts did also find a way to the best music on earth: M.E.T.A.L. (includin' all genres...)

    Enjoy your trip...

    Greetz from Austria to Australia

    Charly :drink: (ups, I think you are not allowed to drink alcohol ;) )

  8. I've listen to "Black Clouds & Silver Linings" right now and all what I can say that the whole album rocks...some very nice tracks on it and some amazing riffs from Mr. Petrucci!!! Much better than the last stuff they had released!!!

    :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

  9. So it is done and if all works well ready for KIT if not after KIT (as last year for Death Dealer). Here a first rough cover of the THRUSTER-M.I.A. to be released on FILS DU METAL.

    LP will be limited to 500 handnumbered copies, First 100 copies come with the ORIGINAL "Back in time/Excellorater" 7" and those 100 are in colored vinyl. Attention: The Collector's edition of 100 copies will be about 10 € more expensive because of the Original 7" which was a collector's piece until now and which I had to buy from the band. So be prepared for this.

    From the musical side you all know, unbelievable great US power metal with best guitars and vocals. LP contains the 9 tracks from the "M.I.A." album that the band recorded in 1987 professionally but never released officially.

    The two tracks from the 7" are not included on the LP.

    A lot of more infos and detailled pricing to follow the next days!(FDM)

    Dude, this one comes from the german band DARK SKY. You can find the song on their 2000 release "Believe It". Didn't know why they record this song in malaysian language ;)
