Yea ok I agree, Unmasked is not Kiss's finest album,. not by a LONG shot.... But, it WAS the very first album I ever heard by Kiss, SO it's got a special place in My metal heart....*S*

Watched Open Season... I am the only one that seems to really like these shows Like Open season Over the Hedge Ice age.... Ive watched Open season 10 times

As far as TV shows go there are millions I'd watch before it... but I'd rather not watch most those either. I can't stand these types of shows, personally.

Sorry mate, I don't care what fancy dressings you put on all this 'Law And Order', 'CSI' or whatever shit there is... to me it's all the same. Basic premise is guy/gal dies, people investigate, muder is solved. Week in, week out. It f*cking kills me. Cop/crime shows, along with doctor/hospital shows are truly unbearable, for me. To each their own, though.

 

 

The Shield is nothing like CSI or Law and Order.

Mackey's character is so beyond any other cop character in the history of television IMO.

I know, mate. Just like Goran is a super zany, quirky detective on that 'Law and Order' show. They all try to have their own little signatures and things that set them aside from the rest of the pack, make them different, but they ain't foolin' this hillbilly. As I said, to each their own, but these shows bore the living shit out of me.

dude! your so wrong I almost feel bad for you, you might actually fall into The Shield and be trapped like the rest of us, The Shield is a dark hearted realistic Crime Drama that replicates more of what Id imagine the real life perspective is of a L.A. sub operation unit, the strike team is or was a 4 man Gang\Drug\Detective team, there are 2 general Detectives, and 2 Uniformed officers, plus a few others, they operate out of an old church called The Barn! Vic Mackey is the shows star, he is the leader of the Strike Unit, he does nothing by the book, but everything he does while being probably Illegal, it's all done with rollover intent, he will shake down the Armenians, take a couple hundred grand off of the bust, and use it to pay off a C.I. to tip him off about the One Niners next drug shipment, him and the remaining 2 members, Shane, and Ronny, are constantly Robbing Peter to Pay Paul, then sending Peter to whack Paul, then busting Peter for Whacking Paul, dude, just the fact you uttered Law and Order and C.S.I. in the same sentence as The Shield shows you have absolutely no idea what the Shield is about, and believe me and the rest of the fans on this board, it's absolutely not your one hour monotonous bad guy gets his by the end of the hour crime drama, it's the only one of it's kind ever that I can think of, and you would probably be addicted the first episode you watched, so give it a try, it's on FX Tuesday nights.

Oh Man I couldn't agree more!!!! Comparing The Shield to Law and Order or CSI?? is like comparing Ice cream to manure if Ya know what I mean..*G* Hell after EVERY episode of the Shield, I am WAITING for the next one Ya know?? Nothing is completely wrapped up when the show ends, it ALWAYS leaves you wanting more.... Hell they keep storylines going from the FIRST Season too, which I really like.. Like last Season, They were going after Vic again for Terry's death.....

All in all The Shield is, in My opinion?? the BEST Cop Drama... PERIOD..*G*

I'm with Martinsane on this one... even though I came very close to picking Metallica (strictly for sentimental reasons), I went with Overkill because they've always stuck to their guns, they never sold out, and are still kicking massive amounts of ass 20+ years after their debut!!

The openers when I saw'em in 1990 were Winger and Slaughter. I thought Slaughter were terrible (still do) but Winger were actually a heckuva lot heavier live than on record, they impressed the hell out of me that night.

 

Faster Pussycat were one of the openers when I saw the REVENGE tour in 1992... the other being our local New Jersey heroes Trixter... God, that was so long ago...

UNMASKED is not exactly at the top of my list of favorite KISS albums either, but I went with "Talk To Me," I actually heard Ace perform this one live at one of his solo gigs in the early 90s... I think maybe me and one other person in the room even knew the song, everyone else had these looks on their faces like "????"

 

I always liked the comic strip on the album cover though...

Yea I went with Talk to Me too, although I was tempted to pick Torpedo Girl....

And yea, that comic book cover IS pretty damn cool..*G*
