Always going to be Spinal Tap for me. About 90% of what happened in the movie I witnessed in real life at some point (no Stonehenge related incidents though). Can't get much better parody than that.

I remember back in the 90's dealing with his manager (who I thought was his wife) to try and get some of his cds for Wishing Well. They wouldn't sell directly to us because we didn't want to order a minimum of 500 cds for our little shop. He's obviously got some funky people handling his business.

Eric Allen of The Eagles has to be in the discussion when talking about cornerbacks.. I was lucky to get to watch him through his college career at Arizona State. He was money. My all-time favorite DB however is Ronnie Lott.

The Christian version of Vixen! Yeah they were really cool. 'Way To Me Heart' is a better album than 'You Oughta Know...' IMO. Rocks a little more.

Didn't blow me away on the first listen, but definitely way better than a lot of other new stuff out there. Gotta play it while I'm driving around so i can pay more attention to it. I can see why people really dig it though.

Picked up MSG 'Perfect Timing' on cd at the local Park N Swap. Pretty ho hum except for the fact that this is the 4th copy I've found at this particular swap meet over the last three months! Didn't know that Schenker was so popular with the swap meet crowd.

Saw them live with Brian Howe and they were awesome, but Paul Rodgers is always the main man for me.

I hate to say it but I've attended more NFL pre-season games (2) than regular season games (0). What a loser I am.

At least I've been to 1 playoff game (Rams/Vikings 1977).

Well the precedent for any professional sports league has already been set. If you can help a team win they will always let you back. So I can't complain about him being playing in the NFL again. My thing is that I think he should still be in prison. Everyone knows there was probably more going on with his "operation" than just dog fighting. There is so much more illegal activity that goes on around that kind of stuff.

Whitesnake - Slip Of The Tongue Tour 1990 (Phoenix, Arizona)...

The last time I saw WS before this was the 'Slide It In Tour' (which was awesome).. This time it was all flash and no substance. Numerous times there were huge "choruses" when no one was near a microphone. The worst part was Rudy Sarzo licking his bass every other song, and Steve Vai spending so much time posing. I ended up going to the first aid station (where they had a Phoenix Suns/L.A. Lakers playoff game on the TV) and hung out there until I hooked up with my friends at the end of the show. Bad English opened and were great, so I guess it wasn't a total train wreck. LOL

We scored some of the remaining copies off the band a few months ago. I think they're almost all gone now. Back when the cd first came out (in the mid 90's) we sold something like 70-80 copies. Very well done for an indie. Definitely Queensryche influenced. Good stuff.

I was reading through the Halestorm thread and noticed that everyone's kind of split on digging female fronted bands/artists. I know that we've never sold any female artists (other than Robin Beck) in large quantities at Wishing Well. I can't even get some of my best friends listen to some new female fronted stuff just once! I'm just wondering what it is about female artists/bands that puts off some of you guys?

I don't think we can expect any of these older bands to return to their "classic" sounds. In most cases it would be a "going through the motions" proposition. If the songwriting is strong then it will show through no matter what the style. I thought 'Secret Society' has some really strong songs (but not enough of them). 'Start From The Dark' did nothing for me. "Prisoners In Paradise' is by far my Favorite Europe album. Joey's solo cds are super cool in my opinion. They have good songwriting (even if they're in a different style to his stuff with Europe).

From my experience most dealers don't get too specific when it comes listing reissues. I'm pretty neurotic about that stuff when I list items on the Wishing Well site, but I think I'm in the minority! The best thing to do is always e-mail the seller before you make your purchase (if you have any doubts or questions). If Ryan fixes the problem right away that should be good enough. Not sure however what to make about the part from his e-mail where he decided which version to send and assumed it would be ok. Call me crazy, but we like to send our customers exactly what they order. LOL
