  1. "No tears for you" demo song is one of my favourite Vain songs, shame they couldn't tagged that on.

Have to be honest and say Vain have a long way to match the quality of the first three releases, from the latter stuff Im not expecting anything amazing.

  2. I got into rock music in 94/95 and it was amazing time to find all rare cds in bargain bins around the UK.

There was also specialist hard rock cd shops in my local town, sadly now gone.

Sadly times changed and as this music is very much an acquired taste and where you can buy any commercial album in UK supermarkets roughly 1/2 the price of that for a melodic rock cd.

I'm stuck in the 2nd hand market til my financial situation changes or rare occurrences like when I got vain 'No more strangers' as was worried it would be sold out and become a rarity.

On a Loud 1 note I ordered a few cds way back in the 90's and is very close to where I live!

  3. F**K me the songs on the jukebox "The music died" and "I don't know" are amazing!

I like all sorts of music, but their pop rock/aor material I find far superior to more the modern stuff they do.

If they did just ONE cd of material it would be killer, It's great to release soooo many tracks but I think it will just get lost as only fan will want to buy it or even invest the time to listen to it.

They deserve more attention than they get, I like Crashdiet, Reckless love and treat but think they are ALL overrated (don't get me started on the bands mentioned in the glam board for being shite!).

    :bananamac:

  4. Not bad at all, have potential to become good and feature plenty of variety (The first 80's aor track I liked the best from the first couple of songs I listened too).

On a lighter note that is a bad collection of haircuts if I ever saw one.

  5. My days of rock night clubs are well over now, I don't think the scene can ever recover from its glory days and the last few "classic rock" nights I went to are just not my thing anymore(full of fossils, same old same old tunes).

My favourite nightclub in the UK, Midlands was "The highway man" RIP :quagmire:

  6. After listening to "better this way" by 7th Heaven for the 100001 time I looked them up and on the website it says they're recording this month.

I will also be honest and say from that UK/USA cd is too poppy and inconsistent for me but an album FULL of songs like "better this way" would blow me away.

The singer from the UK lists amongst his favourite bands Thunder and Extreme.

Nice, especially as he was in a pop idol style commercial pop band at one time.

I just can't get enough of that song, incredibly catchy.

    :bananamac:

  7. Well I'm always hesitant when band I really admire record again after such a long period.

I like a mixture of Danny's stuff but for me his best work is definately Tyketto, praying they don't release an 'average' album I don't want them to be like Lillian Axe who I thought every cd was amazing and then release just some "ok" sounding album(s).

I'm so glad Brooke's on board I think he was a big part to the sound, as Dannys solo stuff was definately lacking something.

Back to the Axe, melodic happier Lillian Axe would be amazing on cd again :bananamac:

Anyway about to listen to 7th Heaven - "Better this way", for the 10001 time :bananamac:

  8. Vain Cd

Looked like frontiers will sell this, I assume from pic they are handling distribution for Davey Vain.

I got it reasonably priced but I don't think it's fair to say limited to 500 then watch people pay more than they would just to get a copy then it comes out everywhere.

My cd from amazon is labelled 1006 too.

Well that's just great I'm sure they'll remaster it and include a cool booklet like they did with Keel's The Right to Rock. Now I'll have to buy this again.

Wow, that is crazy. Would love to hear a report from someone who gets this, who also has the one we've all just bought. Surely (I hope) it'll be exactly the same, just with the Frontiers logo on the back?

Somewhere in the blurb it said Artist label, so i think it will be identical.

The price of the cd at amazon UK is much cheaper than any site could offer a new frontiers release in the UK

Here you can buy roughly 2 commercial pop/dance/r n b albums for the price of one melodic rock release :crying:

I just think it sucks that it forced fans who couldnt see the band to buy it quickly as they thought it was a limited edition from musicbymail which wasn't exactly cheap or worse still ebay when it sold for over double the price sold at amazon.

  9. I read somewhere today(I think Blabbermouth) that this will be released on Frontiers in Europe so that's good news for the new Crashdiet.

Oh man, that is awesome news! That means it should be available at CDWOW and Chaos in Australia too, for a decent price. And if all else fails, it'll hit Nuclearhell at a bargain price too. Man, I hope this info is correct. :)

    Crashdiet

    It's true :bananamac:

  10. Extremely happy to see Sgt Roxx get released and then they leave off the acoustic version of 'Dont cry' :yikes:

Much prefer it over the electric version.

Maybe it's cus Im British and were a nation of moaners :bananamac:

On another moaning note, big fan of Wildside and have 2 cds worth of great demos so when Stevie from Tuff made an official cd from them he included alot of shite and the more of the grungey songs yet everybody knows that the fans wanted the sounds from the first release.

Re-released you take the good with the bad.

  11. Hope they have good worldwide distribution for this one, instead of starting a new thread thought I would ask her where is the cheapest place to buy Crashdiet - Rest in sleaze for a UK resident?

I do hope they re-release it as some point with additonal tracks on a decent label.

A seller on Amazon US has it for $11.99 USD plus shipping.

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000B6TRQ6/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&qid=1268272116&sr=8-1&condition=new

Thanks, with the exchange rate it came to £13 (GBP) which is still too much for me.

I only like a handful tracks, not like the vain 'all those strangers' cd which I like almost every song.
