  1. Is the album really that good to demand a $100+ price tag?!

If this was an original copy it would demand much more than $100, it would probably demand in the $250-500 range, however I would not pay that much for this CD but I would pay $100 for it. It is a great CD.

I saw an auction for a white eagle cd a while back..BIN price of $400. I was tempted, but also realized that you just can't find $400 bucks just anywhere.

  3. I thought I would post this Ebay auction here....it was mentioned in the "BUY SELL TRADE" section.

I thought this should be listed here as well. This is more than likely a boot, which Tim2 and Studboy had said. With the "Asian release" label, and then on the back of the cd it state "Made in USA". Dan , you said you was an ebay junkie...can you make heads or tails of this?

  4. Some infomation that I can give you is that Retrospect Records press everything on green tinted CDR's and alot of there releases have just been taken from the cassette and then re-mastered, not from the original masters.  The artwork is taken from the tape aswell.  That's the reason why they get things out so quick, it's a pretty simple process really, so weather you call that a proper record label is up to you.  It is certainly not the way Suncity Records, Metal Mayhem, Perris Records, Kivel Records, Z Records, etc..  do things.

    I hope that helps mate

P.S.  I will say that Retrospect Records have some great music though

    Dave

    Suncity Records

Retrospect has some awesome titles.....a few which are very costly to some of us. Rock Boulevard...Friction.....etc. I don't know not one thing about the color of the cds, pricing the cds or anything. I have worked in one record store in my life. Like it or dislike it. That is a matter of opinion which everyone is entitled to. Silver pressed, gold pressed, pokadot pressed or whatever, I have managed to pick up a couple of titles that I could't of dream of getting a hold of..and plus....it doesn't take Sam all year to get the cds to the buyer........unlike some people I have dealt with....on ebay. Thats just my two cents.

  5. Not to change the subject or anything, but I just noticed this...a lot of u probably have. There are companies such as:

    Vinyl Revolution

    CDBBQ

I seen these while searching for cds on the GOOGLE Search engine. These two companies happen to come up. I looked at the websites, curious to what they were. Records transferred to cd. Vinyl Revolution, they put the record on cdr....with the artwork as well. But in order to get the cd you either had to already have the album itself, OR you had to purchase the album, then you got the cd.

CDBBQ, from what read was a little different.....you could send your vinyls to them, and they would remaster them on cd

What do you guys think of that? I don't know if that is right or whatever...I am not saying it is or its not. I just stumbled on to this while looking for a Skagarack cd...the first one that is.

Vinyl Revolution had it for 45.00. Not to start anything, but I think that is kinda ridiculous simply because I have seen the actual cd cost between $30 and $50. On Metal Mayhem...right now I think they have one for $70 or $80. I think its kinda crazy to spend that much for a record.....I dont' know.....I'm confused. I hope someone could understand what I just tried to explain without getting it twisted.

  6. This site is the French version of GEMM - you pay the site, they pass the funds to the seller, and then the seller ships your stuff off to you. I've bought only once from them, it took FOREVER to get my CD. I paid for expedited shipping, but the seller screw me and shipped it ground. I send gazzilion e-mails and every time I got generated answers thanking me for my patience and advising to wait 8 weeks before contancting them again :)

Why the heck would you want to send them m.o.? Pay via CC or GayPal, so if you get screwed at least you will have a means of getting your money back.

You are definately right about paying with paypal.....problem is, I signed up that damn paypal buyer credit thing.....which is like a buy now pay later thing....I set myself a limit on it.....and like an idiot I went over....so right now until I get that thing paid down, I can't pay anything with it. By the way, I know this isn't the place to ask, but do you still have that Mach I cd?

  7. This guy is some serious quack!

He never contacted me, nor paid, so after 3 weeks or so I started the FVF refund process. ON the 27th day, in the very last minute of the grace period erBay gives for responding to the FVF, this twat paid me via unconfirmed PayPal account, and on top on that requested his CDs to be shipped to a different mailing address. Yet he DID NOT respond to the FVF

Accepting such unconfirmed LATE payment with instructions to send to outside mailing address rang a huge warning bell for me, so I said "no thanks, your CDs are no longer available" (which is true btw as they went to other interested buyers already),  and immediately refunded his payment.

Then on the next morning I accomplished the FVF (he failed to respond within the 8 days required period, so I was able to complete the process and receive the refunds).

Now, as you can imagine this sent him straight into the sky, and now he pestering eBay AND threathening to give me negative if I dont removie his non-paying bidder strike immediately... I usually would laugh at such phony threats, but given what horror stories I've read here recently one starts to wonder if eBay could somehow screw me in this twat's fawor...  <_<

    So beware

Since you refunded his payment and Ebay granted you the FVF, there is not anything he can do. He did not respond within the alotted days so that is his problem. I always avoid buyers who want something sent to a "different" address unless i know them. I would just forward all the info over to Ebay's Safe Harbor with his threats etc. And that will cover you all the way around....

    Later

    Lon

I thought I was the only one who was going to have a problem with this guy.....I bought "CANNON--THUNDER AND LIGHTNING" from him, and I sent his payment a couple of days after the auction's end. Wouldnt you know, he emailed through ebay three times about the payment not getting there. And I tried to explain the first go round about how long it takes for a payment to get from here to whereever the hell he was at. He started asking me how come I didnt use Western Union. To my knowlege, WU is expensive, and should not be used on ebay unless you know the seller. And besides I never used WU before. Money Gram either. I can understand his concern for getting his payment. Good seller, but a little nerveracking. Eventually he got the payment.....and then left good feedback for me hoping I buy from him again soon....I don't know if I should or not. If I do, I probably will get another dose of the same medicine.
