Forgotten Hard Rock Albums: MASI - "Downtown Dreamers" (1988)
Back in 1988, going to the Record Bar was my weekly religion. A lot of the time I had no idea who I was buying. If the band name was good, they looked cool, and had some promising song titles, I was in. Most of the time, method #3 was essential. Song titles often give off an impression on what the music will be like.
Being on Lizzy Borden's label, I took a chance on MASI. I had heard Alex Masi was a guitar master so I took a chance.
Not long after, "God Promised A Paradise" graced MTV
