    General Music Discussion

Whether someone wants to talk about Mongolian throat singing or Taylor Swift, this is the appropriate forum.

But I can't? I forgot already what group I put up whatever but someone said it wasn't for this forum and my post was deleted so again back to my previous post. I was in AOR section I think? I didn't notice that might have been why....... I think that was how it happened.

The thing is that site is kinda a mixed bag with some borderline stuff. Stuff like Iron Maiden, Saxon, some Sabbath, Dio and a lot of early Priest really are not that heavy and kinda straddle the heavy and melodic spectrum but everything has to go somewhere. And lets face it a lot of people call Scorpions "metal" but they are on HH not BM. All down to how people judge what genre they belong in.

Even bands like Twisted Sister, WASP or Fozzy could fit on Brutal Metal as well as Heavy Harmonies.

Completely agree .....I know, I'm a pain in the azz ain't I ?....lol. My wife agrees shakin' her head. Hey it's somethin' to do.

The album artwork holds special meaning since it was designed by BACH’s father, noted visual artist David Bierk. “This album artwork was started in 1978 and finished in 2024!” SEBASTIAN says.

So as I've mentioned before, I'm in a period where I get to churn through a huge amount of albums that I've accumulated over the last few years and have banked up due to me being pretty busy.
Been traveling a lot, and when I'm home, I've been walking to work and back (40 mins each way) so have had heaps of time to get through the music.

So I've made it through over 50 albums in the last 6 months, and now I have only 9 left in my spotify.
They are the ones I've put off as they are take a lot of listen to get into and include Revolution Saints, Jeff Scott Soto, Iron Maiden and Asking Alexandria (not sure why that one is on my list)

So today I put Maiden on. Book Of Souls.
I've moved away from Maiden for years now, last great album was Somewhere In Time for me, after that they got boring.

So I'm listening to Book Of Sould for the second time, and jesus, not sure what happened to them.
Are they classed as prog now? They sound like it.

Only ones that have provided any hope of being any good are Tears Of A Clown, Elpire Of The Coulds, and Shadows Of The Valley (which has hope only really because of teh Wasted Years vibe)

So wondering if they have gradually been changing, and I'm dropping back in to a prog Maiden, or maybe they just don't wrioote hooky, melodic, catchy songs any more?

I stopped after Powerslave pretty much ...

  6. Has anybody heard this before / Delta Deep - [2015] Delta Deep /  It's a louisiana deep cajun blues band and Def Leppards guitar player Phil Collen is playing guitar on it. I found this by accident and outside of my usual glam metal ect. music I actually like this CD.  So Wadda Ya Think I left the you-tube link to it? Been reading up a bit more on this and there may actually be less in the sale than initially reported.

Most of Kiss' back catalogue is owned by Universal, with potentially only Monster and Sonic Boom being owned by the band. The Publishing rights were sold to another company a long time ago.

Pophouse though has said they will be working with Universal as they have the artists rights.

    Thanks for the info. bud.

Was never a huge fan of these guys..hit & miss...but recently picked this one up, its top class for me  and here's a couple from it for your approval :)

Ya I bought this a while ago, I hate when Perris does CD-R's though it's one reason why I don't buy too much from him. Tom is a cool guy but I hate cheap stuff.
