New CIRCA: album (Yes related) Silent Resolve is due sometime next year.

I've been enjoying the new versions of the songs. It's interesting to hear a different take on them, along with the inclusion of the violin. Hopefully they'll do a full version of "And You And I" in the future.

Good for them, maybe it'll translate into album sales as well.

Anyone here listen to the Anderson Ponty Band's first album Better Late than Never? The band has Jean-Luc Ponty and Jon Anderson in it, for prog rock and jazz fans.

Yes, Benoît David, he was in Yes from 2008 until 2012. He recorded a studio album (Fly From Here) and a live album (In the Present – Live from Lyon) with them.

That's awesome! I'm sure it was nice to save the $99. There's one CD I'm looking for that I hope I can find soon.

Once again, and I think most here agree, if you're going to sell a boot, be upfront about it and don't pretend that it's some long lost rarity!

One of the lines from the description pretty much says it all:

 

"This is a rare 10 song CD from amazing Canadian hair metal band Slash L.A. which released their album on cassette tape in 1989."

 

That's right.... cassette tape, not CD.

This auction says it's a silver at least.

CD-rs have a shelf life though of about 10 years if you're lucky, less or more depending on various conditions. With a pressed disc, you'll be able to listen to it 100 years from now.

 

Not true at all - all cd's have a shelf-life.

You are right, my point was one should still expect that a properly pressed CD will last much longer than a properly burned CD-r. And of course the years I said are mostly estimates, based on that.

I can say that I've never seen a band that was disappointing, fortunately. Though, I've only seen a few bands so far.
