This is a tough one. 1989 was the year I got into hard rock music. There are so many on this list that I could never part with. Before anyone Tough choice, so many classics! I will have to with JUNKYARD. I remember taping the album off the radio when it came out, then wearing out the tape! I still like that album

I'm a little suprised that Bang Tango "Psycho Cafe" doesn't have a vote.

I guess there's just to many good ones to choose from.

..they do now.

Psycho Cafe was cool...id probably take the XYZ,Badlands,Babylon AD and Tora Tora and the unlisted Beau Nasty' over it but Leste is solid.

Blue Murder for me. Lots of great albums in this list, but Blue Murder was fantastic, Sykes at his best, a hugely underrated album.

1. Blue Murder

2. Danger Danger

3. Bang Tango

While I do love a lot of the bands on this list, and I do like a lot of these albums, for most of the bands their debut was not my favourite (see Enuff Z Nuff and Danger Danger etc).

Two albums on this list are head and shoulders above everything else in my opinion, and one of those is actually on my list of greatest albums ever, so it makes it quite easy.

Number 2 spot goes to Skid Row as that album is flawless, and much better than anything that they followed it with (as good as Slave was).

Number 1 spot goes to Pretty Boy Floyd.

Ignoring the bonus tracks that went onto the Perris re-release (with the exception of Slam dunk which was obviously on the original Jap release), the album for me was one final look into the glory days of the likes of Poison, Ratt and Motley Crue. Its an album that really should have come out around 1985 or so, as it would have ended up being a huge success.

The album is pretty much hit single after hit single after hit single, had it been released earlier.

I honestly cant think of a single song on it that wasnt single material.

Wow, now that's a hard one. For me Danger Danger and Vain are about equal but I went D2 today - but my top 7 were all contenders... and aside from the last 3 I love all these discs... or at least like them a lot. :)

Here's my top 20 in order:

1. DANGER DANGER- DANGER DANGER

2. VAIN- NO RESPECT

3. SKID ROW- SKID ROW

4. BAD ENGLISH- BAD ENGLISH

5. XYZ- XYZ

6. SHOTGUN MESSIAH- SHOTGUN MESSIAH

7. PRETTY BOY FLOYD- LEATHER BOYS W/ ELECTRIC TOYS

I keep looking at this thread thinking to myself how I could not have put Vain or PBF or XYZ on the top spot, so I go back to my original post. In total honesty, I think these 7 albums are all equal first and are totally interchangeable.

If I re-did it today I'd put the Bad English CD at 7th for the fillers, but there's not a poor song on the other 6 CDs combined, except maybe 'Inside Out' by XYZ. But then again that was their hit single, so it's hard to call it a "filler" as such.

If I re-did it today I think it'd be Vain, PBF and Danger Danger equal 1st. ;) But then again, what about Shotgun Messiah... too bloody hard.

My senior year of high school, I had to go with Skid Row, that was one of the best CDs to come out in the 80's period, I remember when they announced them as the opening act for Bon Jovi and we were all like "who the hell is Skid Row"? Man we sure found out!

Vain and Pretty Boy Floyd are my 2nd and 3rd runners up, Dangerous Toys would get honorable mention.

Had to go with Blue Murder, I know it's not the most obvious choice. I think the guitar work is above average and the vocals are outstanding.

Nice one!

    • Motley Crue signed with the country label from Tennessee Big Machine Rec.. New song Dogs of War relased on Friday the 26th. Other than that don't ask me what there doing they did a little video of them signing contract and it doesn't include John 5 so he's not really part of Motley he's a hired gun..  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3iDklwv1PI&t=2s

    • Not much information on the video's page, other than it appears to be an AI creation. Once it gets into the verse and especially the chorus, it's actually not too bad IMO.
    • While I appreciate your interest in contributing to the site, most of the artists and albums you are submitting are either REALLLLLLY stretching the boundaries, or as in the case of this band, completely off the mark. No alternagrunge. No punk. No death metal/power metal (although those can be submitted to Brutal Metal). You can always start a thread asking about a particular artist before blindly submitting it for inclusion. Thanks! -Dan
