Live To Win never had any right to be as good as it is. How'd you rate it?

 

 

Good, strong disc clocked in at 77%. It's very enjoyable.

 

The lesson I learned most from today was how many weak albums Stage Dolls had. The s/t album is a masterpiece and 'Get a life,' as far as I'm concerned, is one of the great comeback albums. But aside from that, (and I need to get a copy of 'Commandos' - anyone got the MP3s handy?) - the rest, in terms of albums, is pretty poor.

I don't like the Stage Dolls very much.

Which do you rate as the weak songs? For me, 'Mystery' is delightful light AOR, 'Don't stop believin' is one of my favourite tracks, despite the inspiro lyrics, 'Hanoi Waters' is killer; arguably the 2nd best song on the album. And then 'Ammunition' is probably their finest lyrical outing to date, and a subtly beautiful tune. Another of my personal faves.

 

For me, the only "weak" song on the entire CD is 'Wings of steel.' Just average AOR, but I think every other single song is excellent.
