Bang Tango - DANCIN' ON COALS

I have a love/hate relationship with this album. Sometimes I'll put it on and it annoys the hell out of me after only a few songs, and other times I guess I'm just in the right mood for it and it "hits the pocket" if you know what I mean. This morning is one of those times

I've always had a love relationship with that album.

Do you sleep with it under your pillow?

And if so, how does you wife feel about that?

Rick Riso - Gotta Have The Real Thing

So violently Westcoast it hurts..Picture the scene..

It's Miami, the Mid-80's,you're cruising the strip, you drive nonchanently one-handed, checking the babes who you hope are checking your hair, sunglasses and the standard "crushed" linen suit.

You pull-over,get out and light your cool Marlboro Lite cigarette, have a hopefully un-noticed cough  and proceed to walk, almost Tony Manero-style,past the latest designer clothes shop, you stop, check out the hot babe, who is a little "rich girl" trying to prove her family wrong by making her way in the city.

You go in,the Rick Riso cd plays, sax and brass sections fill the air, your eyes meet, she falls in lurrve, but you just wanna bit.It happens,it's Rick Riso overload, and then morning, she lays in bed,the covers pulled up to her chin. You smile, light your cig and Rick Riso starts up again, you say "Ciao babe" and it's off to the next town.

They never make movies like that,do they ??
