Just as a side note, I've made a few comments on the board this morning in regards to my entire internet being filtered here at work, except for some reason this message board. Well, although I get the message board, I don't get the pictures at all anymore. Every single image/picture is a little red x. Lucky I have a good memory of what I posted here the other night... but damn I miss not being able to see it.

In regards to the internet restrictions: New and very permanent. We just got an email come around the office. We have to make a formal request to our Systems Administrator if we want a site available. I'd have no valid reason to request Hotmail or Ebay, and definately not HH. I just pray I can still access this board. I'm scared to sign off, afraid I'll not be able to return. (Don't get too excited everyone, there's still no filters at home )

 

But yeah, this really sucks dog balls. And not small ones either.

That does suck. We implemented a similar system a ways back, but not quite as restrictive. Mainly just stuff that contained porn or hate, that kind of stuff. For instance sometimes some of the lovely images on the "babeage" thread will not show up due to being linked to an unapproved site. But we can still do eBay, etc. As a global consulting company it's more important that we be able to access information in general.

Yeah, I think it's a bit harsh personally. We've always had filters too and I know we could never get into any sort of adult sites at all, and now that you mention it, I guess that's what those red x's were for in the 'Babeage' thread (evil things). That was all understandable and didn't phase me. But yeah, this new filter is really going to limit my freedom and enjoyment here at work. Really, really sucks that I can't even access my private emails.

Well, as I've stated elsewhere, as quickly as that terrible filter swept through and ruined my day yesterday, it seems to have disappeared now. I haven't heard anything more by email or anything, but I can access email, ebay and all that so it's okay. One thing, though, I still can't see the picture above... or my last post in the 'Major Babeage' thread.

Hmmm, the above post makes me wonder if you in return have little elfs watching me from afar. Like you said, I started typing a reply back to you, but instead of falling asleep I broke a nail and sobbed a little. I went to call mum to ask her to kiss my finger better, caught my PC power lead around my foot and in the process of logging myself out I fell helplessly to the floor. The elfs I had in my room who had been massaging my feet and bringing me pink cocktails on a flower coated tray all night said the whole thing was quite funny. I didn't cope well, though as I wept openly. When I awoke in the morning, curled up in a little ball with Cleetus, my teddy bear in my arms, the carpet was still damp with the residue of my own sad little tears. Sorry I didn't get to reply.

 

Norks are still fantastic, though.

Yeah, right now I'm wondering if Australia... actually, it's more a case of hoping Australia advance to the next round. I really think they deserve it. I'm also wondering about norks... sorry, but I really am. Why on earth are they so damn wonderful!!!

 

And yeah, aside from that, just missing my hardcore HH hours I used to put in. Honestly, what is this work crap they're continually shoving my way these days? My co-worker clearly thinks life's a holiday and has taken the whole week off so far, and plans to take off the rest of it. Why? I don't know, my friends, I just don't know.

 

It was funny, she had her one year anniversary here the other day. F*cked thing is, she's probably actually turned up 8 of those 12 months. Shits me to tears.

 

And that's Geoff's head at the moment. Also a large portion dedicated to Nick and his considerate ways.

 

Seriously, norks are fantastic. She has the key for the door around her neck on a chain, but it's not even touching her belly. Her wonderful breasts protrude so much that they keep the key, at the bottom of that chain, dangling... man I love 'em.
