Jez Posted May 24, 2017 Report Share Posted May 24, 2017 A bit off-topic, but damn I loved me some "Special Forces" and "Tour De Force: when I was in junior high school. This was right around the time we first got cable television in my neck of the woods, and MTV was brand new. I cannot begin to tell you how many hours my friends and I sat in front of the television watching Martha Quinn and the crew from 1982 - 1986 when all they did was play videos and have awesome interviews. You had to be there to fully appreciate the enormity of it all. Well, I was wrong, sort of... this Don Barnes set is AWESOME! Although it's not really a 2017 release, is it? I've been telling y'all forever... You just can't compete with the 80's! I like it more that what is on this album but then again I'm a huge 38 fan and it was the first version I ever heard. Glen Posted September 4, 2017 Report Share Posted September 4, 2017 I've really tried with this one but outside of the title track, 'Lookin For Love' (which I knew from Khymera) and the best track 'After The Way' (killer Giant styled song) the rest does little for me Its all sounds very well played, but the songs don't click with me. simo Posted September 5, 2017 Report Share Posted September 5, 2017 Still haven't given this a full listen after buying it 3 weeks ago...... first reaction was ''wow'' cause these are old songs that are being released with proper production now BUT....... despite those songs being old it still sounds very much like a 2017 release which is unfortunate.
