Last movie you watched?

Went to the cinema with my son yesterday to see Over The Hedge.

 

Great kids film & great for adults too.

My girl and I went for a long weekend away and had a complimentary movie ticket with the room. It was for a rundown shitty cinema with dodgy films and times. We didn't want waste daytime so we went during the first rainy and miserable day - the only film on was called 'Hidden'.

 

It was horrible. It's French film and the first sub-titled film I have EVER watched in it's entirety. The f*cking thing was so slow and dull... and then it ended, with no finalisation or anything at all. The camera just stopped filming. Man it was shit...

 

Ok! But now, tell us what ya really thought of the movie? I remember a movie that was called 'The Hidden' & it doesn't sound much better than that one, Geoff. It was roughly about an alien parasite that went from (human) host to host taking them over & killing, destroying, wrecking cars. but it stayed away from the women, mostly, maybe it was the PMS factor.....ya know....the usual kinda sci-fi thing!

Yeah, I remember that, wasn't Mira Sorvino in that? They were like these giant cockroach things that could disguise themselves to look human or something? Side note: Mira Sorvino = hot

 

I just finished Star Trek III - The Search For Spock. This used to be my least favorite of the original 6 Star Trek movies so I haven't bothered to watch it for over 15 years. Time must have changed me because I really enjoyed it. Oh, and just to add a spoiler, they do find Spock.

 

Damnit Rick, I was waiting for that to come back out in the theatres to go see it...

I just finished Star Trek III - The Search For Spock. This used to be my least favorite of the original 6 Star Trek movies so I haven't bothered to watch it for over 15 years. Time must have changed me because I really enjoyed it. Oh, and just to add a spoiler, they do find Spock.

 

Damnit Rick, I was waiting for that to come back out in the theatres to go see it...

 

That may be the case, but I never told you that Kirk's son gets killed! So you still have something to look forward to.

Running Scared was good ... I never remember that movie coming out but it was pretty good if it was a straight to video release which I dont think it was . I never ever wanna get hit in the face with a hockey puck is all i'm sayin ...

POTC Dead Man's Chest: Awesome movie.

 

Underworld Evolution: Awesome. Better than the first.

 

Night Watch: F@$%ing weird movie. Too hard to follow.

"16 Blocks" with Bruce Willis. Not bad at all, not bad at all...

 

Good action packed flick, and Bruce was quite believeable in the role.

Haven't seen ANYTHING lately but I'm thinking of renting "Final Destination 3" on my way home tonight..

 

Failing that, I have a DVD laying around that I've been meaning to watch called "Devil in the Flesh 2" (yea, it sounds like a porn, but I swear it isn't!) which stars Jodi Lynn O'Keefe as a crazy chick who fixates on one of her college professors and starts killing off anyone who she sees as a threat to their getting together. Sounds like good clean (dirty) B-Movie fun! I believe the original starred Rose MacGowan but I've never seen that one.

Serenity....an interesting movie based on the tv show, which I didn't see. Not too many familiar names, but Adam Baldwin & Ron Glass. Cool sci-fi movie with some good twists & turns!

Final Destination 3: Same of the same here. VERY intuitive ways for people to die. If you like the first two it's worth a rental.

love the tv show. love the movie. hope there is more coming besides the books, I want maybe a new tv series or a straight to dvd movie. I know it is a long shot but one can always hope.

Uggh! My wife dragged me to that while it was in the theater. There are enough holes in the story to drive a truck through. But she let me get a large popcorn and soda so I was happy.

Just finished watching "Devil In The Flesh 2," which I mentioned a day or two ago... I've seen worse, but I've seen a lot better. Basically it's a college-campus version of "Fatal Attraction" with a co-ed fixated on her hunky writing professor. Jodi Lynn O'Keefe (who plays the psycho co-ed) is freakin' hot as hell though. There was some nice T&A but otherwise it was a very predictable thriller.

I watched a couple flicks last night-- Sin City and Mystery Men. Sin City I think is great, probably because I like interweaving story lines ala Pulp Fiction. Mystery Men seemed a lot better when I originally saw it 5-6 years ago.
