With that logic then every album Mutt Lange has ever produced would have been successful.......and I don't think so......

 

She still has to sing...and perform those songs. And truth be told....I think she had some 'hits' long before he entered the picture........of course, I could be wrong......but I doubt it. I'm biased.....

...and Shania certainly has had more hits singing his songs than her own... Same goes for Def Leppard and AC/DC. Lange is the "system," the artists are "interchangeable parts."

Shania had 1 minor chart hit (huge video hit though) before Mutt.

The thing is that Shania's first cd only had 1 or 2 of her song's on it. Mutt let her write and put her songs on her own cd. Nashville didn't want her songs.
