Dokken discography tierlist

Recommended Posts

I just noticed my tiers are different tiers to yours above. I do prefer the tier labels above. I have no idea what the album at the bottom of my list is. Curse the small text.

lol, I know it's just to get a bite, I assume, but would be curious to hear you explain why those bottom four aren't bad, just not your thing. But 'Under lock and key,' 'Tooth and nail' and 'Up from the Ashes' are actually all bad. Your thing or not, they're bad albums but the bottom four aren't? Please indulge me and offer an explanation. ;)

yea tooth and nail could probably join into that other category.  I've never been much of a Dokken fan, but they have a handful of albums that don't out right suck.  I recently did take another stab at Dokken's discography; as I do with lauded bands from time to time but nothing really took.  Honestly outside of a new single I'll probably never listen to Dokken ever again.

So is it any good? As I didn't even know it was released......

It is VERY mellow acoustic stuff.  Much like how I have to be in a certain mood to listen to AIC, Godsmack, or Disturbed, I have to want to REALLY mellow out to listen to it. Definitely not gonna be for everyone.

Fair enough, to each their own and all that jive. Just can't figure out what 'Back for the attack' might possess to make it not bad compared to what 'Under Lock & Key' may possess to make it bad. BUT! To each their own, n' stuff.

yea most of the releases are not outright bad in the sense they're unlistenable, it's all just kind of dull for me.

Not gonna lie, but have never been a massive Dokken fan. When they record a killer song they do it brilliantly, but overall they never excited me. They are what I call a "Best of" band. A band that in reality I only need a compilation album.

I only own a handful of their albums, but Under lock and key would be my fave followed by Tooth & nail. That said, my fave song by them is on neither of those albums. Dream warriors.
