Good call on Tesla. I back that up.

Queensryche go close for me too. The Warning, Rage For Order, Operation Mindcrime, Empire and Here in the Now Frontier. I admit many would not agree on the last one though.

Didn't Promised Land come before Hear In The Now Frontier? added also that for me Promised Land was the better of them...so you're 5 would still hold up lol..yeah the first 5 Tesla also pretty good to excellent :)

I'll chuck in Frontline ,H.E.A.T & Treat because for me they haven't done a bad album...

Oh and Cats In Space should make it 5(studio) brilliance with the release of "Kickstart The Sun"...i'm pretty sure on that 1 :drink:

Well, that's the thing about these lists: everyone's tastes are subjective, so arguing over who's right and wrong is pointless.

Voice of Reason is honestly one of my favourite albums.

that's why I said most.

Yup. But I would say the five up to Empire were the great ones.

Good call, but 'Spellbound' has a bit of a question mark looming over it, imo.

Yeah, Spellbound is the weak link for sure.

Love the s/t album with Leven, but it's probably enough for me to cancel Treat's run.

Frontline 100%, though.

Degreed is also a good call, above.

Dokken

Which 5,out of curiosity? I'm not personally a fan of the debut and obviously Shadow Life wrecks the run on the other side. And as solid as Dysfunctional is, I couldn't call it great.

Same with Def Leppard for me, but I know others are more fond of albums before Pyromania than I am. But yeah, I'd pay High N Dry through to Retroactive.

Gotthard had 6 straight excellent albums:

Open
Homerun
Human Zoo
Lipservice
Domino Effect
Need To Believe

Not sure about "Open".

I always thought that was possibly their weakest album for the Steve Lee years.

I'll nominate Danger Danger for 7 (8, if you count "Cockroach" as two).

"Dawn" is a possible weak link for most, but considering the era, it was better than most bands Grunge flirtation and it introduced Paul Laine on Lead Vocals.

I've grown to love it now actually.

I'd give them 4,

Tooth and Nail

Under Lock and Key

Back for the Attack

Dysfunctional

5 if you count "Up from the Ashes", which you wouldn't, but you know what I mean.

I though of D2 but as much as I personally really like Dawn, I'm not sure albums like that maintain a "great" streak.

To each.

Their own, of course.

Krokus,Accept,Y&T,Saxon,VH….etc a lot of bands went on a tear in the 80's,,although it always helps if someone is a fan of said bands.I agree w/ 'Geoff'  on RATT,only diff is id also include the EP and say 6.

For me personally I could never get into Journey or Night Ranger, but I do agree with Harem Scarem who are currently on an eight album run. Other ones that work for me are

Avantasia

Edguy

Epica

The Night Flight Orchestra

Threshold

Kamelot

Lordi

Skyline spoils the show for NFO. Its good but not up to the others.

The Mac Thresholds were classics but not sure there were 5 on the trot 🤔

Those other bands are not for me I'm afraid

Good call for the Later 70s up to Back in Black. They got patchy after that.

The Bon years.

Dokken is another popular band that never connected for me, I don't like a single song.  Same goes for Queensryche.

I liked Detonator but their back catalog never clicked for me.

I love the 3 post Mac albums, so similar to Harem Scarem they are currently on an 8 album run for me.

I always liked the For Those About To Rock and Flick Of The Switch albums.
