To me there's nothing better then when you stumble onto something you've never heard, and track 1 just blows you away, and even better then that, when track 1 seamlessly moves into track 2 and track 2 blows track 1 off the map, I ordered a bunch of CD's last week and one of them that I got, was one Ive seen for most of my life, but I can remember the day I first saw it, because it might possibly have the stupidest fucking most irritating album cover that's ever been used, because of the cover, I have never been able to bring myself to buy it, but always been curious what they sound like, so I broke down and ordered it, HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! the fact Ive never heard anyone talk about these guys seriously boggles my mind, so this band Gack or better known as Laaz Rockets, did the Gack album and it wasn't thrash, it was just heavy fucking guitars buzzing and aggressive full of monster riffs and the most catchy hooks on the planet, and I was stoked by the first song, but it just processed into the next song, and that song is so  fucking tight I cant even comprehend it, I don't know if anyone here has heard them or not, but if you haven't you gotta listen to these tracks, only people who are in to the all new RIFF METAL, LOL,

I recall being disappointed when I heard this one back in the '90s.  I liked the album Nothings Sacred by Laaz Rockit and a friend of mine told me about this release.  When I saw the cover and the new band name it was an immediate red flag.  And upon listening to it I realized they, like many other 80's thrash bands, had jumped onto the groove metal band wagon.  Some cool riffs amongst the tracks and not a bad album, but I've just never been much of a groove metal fan.

Damn I don't care for Laaz Rocket but this is good stuff and I've never heard of it....and I suspect finding the cd is going to be a bitch....

Dude ive seen this CD at the most odd locations my entire life, I always thought it was like an Alternative Rock band, even when I worked at a music store, I'd see it sitting there, nobody ever bought it, Ive seen it literally all the time, up until CD stores started closing, I went over to the one by my house, where its sat for years, now it's not there, I found this one on Discogs, dudes got like 10 of them he said, mine was used but he sold it to me for like $7, I ordered a bunch so I cant remember for sure, but it was like $11 total, im just fucking upset at myself for being a dick about the cover, missed out on an awesome album that literally sat under my nose since 1994

This is more akin to Prong then anything, I wouldn't really call it Groove metal, maybe back then, now it's just flooring hard hitting riff driven Metal, I would never know It was Laaz if I hadn't looked, but once you do you can clearly tell it is, Aaron Jellum is one of my favorite Thrash guitarists, he's always fucking around with odd time signatures, going against the beat, and dicking with fucked up tuning's, Annhilation Principle is one of my favorite thrash albums of all time, yet, I never knew about this being them, or I would've gotten it along time ago, it's kind of what made me order it this time, that cover just bugs me,

I like Aaron's playing style as well.  I plan to give it another spin as I may feel differently about it now.  To your original point, I'm glad you stumbled across something that you're really enjoying.   That doesn't happen for me as often as it did years ago, but as you mentioned it's one of the best experiences to have when listening to music.

I was hoping to pick it up for $10 but the cheapest on Discogs is almost $18 CAD so maybe I'll keep an eye out for it on eBay......

They also have a few on Amazon but they want $35, it sucks cause the only place it ever came out was In Japan, so compared to back in the day it's relatively cheap now, they use to want $40 for the one in Greywhale, the store by my house, I remember seeing one in Tower years ago, somebody had imported it then never picked it up, so they had it for half price, those are the things I always kick myself for not grabbing.

My cost reflects the shipping to Canada.....but thanks for the offer...I'll find it for a reasonable price eventually.....
