Not sure many on this site liked Screaming Trees or their baritone singer Mark Lanagan, but the bloke has reportedly died today, aged just 57. Sweet Oblivion is still one of my favourite albums from the grunge era. R.I.P.

Yeah, I admit, I dig Sweet Oblivion, the problem with these bands is you really can never count on them to give you all killer shit, Dust fucking sucked, then it kind of grew on me, I mean outside of a few killer songs, the ST I thought were really rather mediocre, a bunch of Wankers, like Mudhoney, the only tru grunge band I really thought blew me away was TAD, those guys were fucking heavy.
