Songs where Bands refer to themselves

A bit of a vague-ish thread title, yes, but you'll know what I mean by these two examples.

Off the top of my head, these were the only ones I could think of.

Basically, when Bands/Artists mention themselves in a song.

The way "Jaded Heart" did it in their "Anastasia" cover was a nice homage, knowing they couldn't use the original lyric.

Anyone know of any others?

How about this one from one of my favourite bands?

Good one, I should've thought of that myself.

Kid Rock in many songs-he used to like to tell everyone who he was

Eminem was good at that practice too.

Rap and Hip Hop, especially in the 80s, was rife with it.

That's what all the songs were about back then.

Big Country  - In A Big Country.

I've also posted "Look Away" because I love it.

Is it sacrilege on this site to admit to loving Big Country. If so, I am a sinner!

Have you heard that band called The Hooters? Play similar stuff. Just as good.

Are you kidding?

"All You Zombies", "And We Danced".

Classics.

"The Hooters" were great, although, they did have their "knockers".

See what I did there. :bananamac:

Don't admit it, proclaim it!

Nothing wrong with "Big Country" mate.
